Mushroom
Goon of the Year
Having no internet, and working like a mad man. I had 2 days annual leave. So I went off somewhere...
(Images not that good quality, sorry)
To start the day, I arrived at Thorpe Park!
Hang on, thats the wrong Thorpe Park, oh well, its near...
Not too bad of an entrance...
Park opened at 10:30am, time for a coaster...
but had to pass this Go-Gator
1 day I shall ride 1!
1st Rider of the day!
Twisty!
Front row!
Bit meh really, ahh well, that was #245
Ooooo... Cobra Roll!
Not a good sign...
Had to wait while it tested
At this point Sean texted me asking where I am, met him and rode front row of Boomerang. Ouch is all I can say, and it was my first boomerang front row! Next up was Pendulus, I did not ride, Sean did, I am not a fan of these type of spin and spew ride.
Now we were walking about and decided to ride the Dodgems.
They were not bad, bit slow, but could build up a bit of speed and flick them round corners. The S&S Shot Tower was up, not a bad little shot tower, not intense but good enough. There is a new for 2010 ride....
Its a Ghost Train, and its not a bad little ride at all, good addition for the park. Bit on the same par as Over The Hill at Adventure Island. But I feel OTH is better.
Had a look at the rest of the park, and some of the water slide looked un-rideable!
Pleasure Island is a nice enough park, but its laking something. I feel they need something major to really put them on the map. They won't be able to last in the long term unless they get something different. I would say an Intamin Mega Lite or a Gerstlauer Eurofighter or Gerstlauer launched coaster. They have all worked in other parks, and got people talking about them.
Now to drive 1 hour south to Fantasy Island! I arrived to gloomy skies, it didn't look good, but this made it look better!
JO wasn't open, so I started with...
Awaiting for the train to arrive for my front row ride
Very smooth for a Vekoma! Wasn't too bad of a coaster either. That was #247! Next up, Rhombus Rocket. Front row once again #248
Bit meh, oh well, now to get on Fantasy Mouse
Vulga...
Spinny
Hate these things! Glad it was over with. Only good thing about it was hearing the announcement JO was open!
Woo, time for #250!
i had back row, wasn't too bad at all. For the rest of my time there, I got 2 front rows on JO and 2 rides on MC. Didn't bother with the Beast, was feeling slightly ill. Here are some of the photos I took...
Sign of quality...
Now with Fantasy Island done, time to goto Skeggy for Bottons.
Was slightly cheeky and parked in McDonalds car park which allowed 70mins free for customers. So I went and brought a burger, and headed into the park. But at the front of the park you are greeted with...
Paid my £8 for all the tokens I need for the coasters, it was time for the Big Apple!
Smile!
With that out the way, time for Rockin Roller, a unique Spinning coaster!
Double Lift Hill!
All the cars have a famous Rock and Roll name
POV!

The 2nd to last coaster of this trip! Mine Train
Through some theming...
Another front row to tick off!
At last! Time for the most unique coaster of this trip!
3 seats per row!
Great view...
Well it goes through a bee hive!
Now thats it, east coast now done! Happy I got my 250th coaster, hard work and very tiring. But all these places are ok, just a bit of a shame that areas near by are not that good. Oh well, but it was nice to get out and ride some new coasters.
Thank you for reading!
