SeaWorld San Antonio (Texas) will close their current water park, Lost Lagoon, on September 5th and carry out a mega revamp. When it opens in May 2012, it'll be several acres larger, renamed Aquatica and promises to be awesome.

- 42,000 square feet of sandy beaches, with poolside luxury services, sun loungers, hammocks, private cabanas etc.
- Themed to a tropical lagoon with rivers and interactive animal features.
- Many different water pool experiences for all the family; tube/rubber ring pools, wave machine with 5ft high waves, geysers, waterfalls, dumping buckets, water jets, misty tunnels etc.
- More than seven water slides. Mixture of enclosed and open. Some pitch black. Steep drops, water curtains, twists, turns etc.
- Stingray Rapids - A five-seater raft ride that takes riders on a journey through an underwater grotto.
- Wahalla Wave - Another family sized raft ride which uses waves to climb to the top of a zero-G wall.
- Ray Connect - An interactive ray pool where guests can experience, feed and touch rays up close.
