Plopsaland questions

After needing something to do on the way back to the ferry, I remembered Plopsaland is very close to Dunkirk, so I was thinking about doing a trip there. I don't think I really want to spend the money/time in the park all day, but I noticed on their website they have an evening ticket. That would give us two hours in the park, so my questions are:

-Is two hours enough to get all the credits (and the other major attractions) and a nice-ish sense of the park?
-Are any of the coasters that we won't be able to get due to height/age restrictions?
-Has anyone ever got one of these evening tickets?

Basically that's it! If anyone has any general tips/advice I'd be very grateful for anything you can share. Thanks! :D

Never got an evening ticket, but I don't think you'll get all the creds and see the park properly in 2 hours. The Batflyer is really out of the way and has a slow throughput. If the park was dead and eh rides walk-on/10min max queue then yes, you could probably get the creds in 2 hours.

What time of year are you going?

We were at the park until about 4pm when we went on a quiet day yet the queue for the Batflyer and the Vekoma coaster were full. So probably 2 hours is not enough.

Yeah, I'll second the notion that the batflyer queue might spite you big time. How much is the evening ticket? British peeps can get a special ticket from lastminute.com for £12.

^Thanks for the lastminute.com tip, just been looking at that. How does it work? Is it a print-able voucher or something like that? Also, when you say 'British peeps' what do you mean by that?

[EDIT - Just found the bit on their site saying about being British. I'm currently in France at the moment, so presumably I can't get this offer? Or is it the country that the card is registered to?]

Finally, it also says on their website about a car park charge. Does anyone know how much this is?

Thanks, once again!

You buy it on lastminute.com, and print it off. Does it matter what country you're in?

I personally dont think 2 hours is enough to enjoy the park properly, especially in the August holidays.

I went on a weekend in May, and it was heaving, with long queues (due to poor throughput) on Bat Flyer, Rollerskater and Star Flyer. Anubis (<3) was walk on though. Most other things had about a 30 minute, but again, it was just a weekend in May. The place is very popular, and rightly so, its fab.

If I were you, I'd just nip over to Bellewaerde, its not far from Plop. And save Plop for a whole day.

^I don't know, it says on their site:
Please note that this offer is only available to customers living in the UK, and is not available to customers from other countries. If you are from another country, please contact Plopsaland direct to purchase tickets, as orders made by people not living in the UK can't be honoured.
Don't really know what that means... :?

As for Bellewaerde, it seems to cost about the same amount as Plopsaland for a full day and we were only considering doing Plopsland for the evening as it was much cheaper. If we were using the Lastminute tickets, then we'd easily get to the park for mid-day. We'll see I guess.

Well you still LIVE in the UK, you're just in France on holoiday or whatever. If you have the ability to print them off, I cant see how being France can change anything.

Yeah, I'd give the lastminute thing a go anyway and see what happens. I guess that if you register with a British address and credit card then it'll be fine. If you do, it's a print at home voucher. Ignore what it says about going to the ticket booth and go straight to the turnstiles or guest services.

Parking is what, about €5? Something in that region. Might be €4. Might be €6.

Anyway, yes, awesome park. 2 hours not enough.

OK awesome. I'll give it a go buying the tickets online later today. The only reason I was unsure if it would work was because things like iPlayer and YouTube know I'm in France. Hopefully we can be in the park for around midday, that'll give us more like 7 hours in the park. :D

Thanks for everything! :D

^Awesomes. Yeah the lastminute.com thing should be fine but I'm not sure how that rule works as they never ask at the park, they just take the bit of paper and let you in.

If you do get the time, check out the new Maya Land area, it's FAB.

Well it seemed to have worked.

I've just got to print it off now.

Well not quite the whole day, but most of it. We're having an overnight stop in Reims, so driving from there in the morning and aiming to get to the park at midday. We'll then pretty much stay until it closes I think, as our ferry is at 10pm.

Nearly the full day then!
