In a recent interview with Studio 100 chief Gert Verhulst, it was confirmed that the company had purchased a ”unique coaster” from a German manufacturer ( likely either Mack or Gerstlauer) and intends to ”present it” at Plopsaland De Panne in the summer of 2026 (wether that’s the opening date or the announcement window is unclear). Further details weren’t shared, except that it would be themed to one of Studio 100’s intellectual properties.

Saw somewhere that he went through Straatsburg at the French/German border, which is awfully close to Mack and Europa Park. He also mentioned testing an attraction while there, which could’ve been Ba-a-a Express. I’m fairly certain that he’s bought an ART Engineering junior coaster of some kind, especially since Mack themselves is pretty notorious for waitlisting and there’s not many larger attractions that can be locked in at this point for summer 2026.

I've seen something on Twitter/X the other day which suggested that it could be the Kabouter (Gnome) Plop dark ride which will be replaced by this. I'm thinking that might be the theme of the new coaster potentially.

In terms of unique coasters, I'm thinking a Mack Inverted Powered Coaster like Arthur could be what they're bringing in as that would fit into the family market.

Oh that'd be absolutely tragic... Bos van Plop is so charming and I love it!

+1 yes but it's such an underrated gem of a dark ride.
