Spanish theme park group Parques Reunidos has received a €33 million ($45.36 million) cash injection. The new funding comes from Investor Arle Capital and is intended to be used for growth in the European and USA markets. Parques Reunidos has not disclosed which of their attractions and projects will specifically receive the new capital.
The theme park group operates over 50 parks in almost a dozen countries including Parque de Atracciones de Madrid, Parque Warner Madrid, Kennywood, Lake Compounce, Mirabilandia, Tusenfryd, Movie Park Germany, Bobbejaanland, BonBon-Land and the American chain of Boomers family entertainment centers.
Parques Reunidos has an annual average of 26.2 million visitors, according to the company website , indicating that it ended the year 2011 with a turnover of €543 million ($746.4 million).
