Parc Asterix new coaster for 2017

Giga Poster
Apparently Parc Asterix is getting a new big coaster in 2017. The park's CEO confirmed that in an interview on the French TV. It's not yet known which manufacturer and type though, so we'll have to wait and see. More and more reason to visit the park now, and they could get their third world class coaster if it will be a success. 2017 is far away but I still think it's worth posting. What would you guys like to see?

It does seem likely, considering the other Compagnie des Alpes parks (Walibi Holland and Belgium) are getting Mack coasters too. If it would be a mega, I'm expecting it to have a launch and inversions, to make it different than Alpina Blitz. It could be a replacement of Goudurix.

3rd world class coaster? What are the other two world class coasters?

It's good they are getting something new and continuing to develop the park.

Oz'Iris and Tonnerre de Zeus are both highly praised. I haven't visited the park so I can't give my opinion, but that's what I've heard.

I assume he's referencing Oz'Iris and Zeus, I can't really comment on the claim of world class not having ridden them yet, but Oz'Iris is generally well praised.

Count me in on the Mack hopeful list.

I saw their creative director engaged on the Mack stand at IAPPA, but I wouldn't read too much into that.

This is good, it means I can put off France for another two years and do a proper cred crawl in 2017.

They won't be replacing Goudurix any time soon. They've been spending a silly amount on making it better.

I love the park's current attitude at the moment, they've been adding so much every year and retouching all of the older attractions to keep them up to date (the rapids is seeing some love this closed season). They just know what works for the park and where they need to improve (next year sees two shows being completely renovated and updated and another empty theatre completely transformed to hold a brand new show).

Looking at the last few years I think we could see literally anything in 2017. I can see them going for that Mack mega that we'd all drool over though, it fits in to what they currently don't have.

Yeah Goudurix had noticeably improved this season, it's a much smoother ride now. Idefix Forrest was lovely addition this year, glad they've noticed that the rapids are in need of a spruce up too. They're making all the right decisions lately!

Based on the excellence of Oz'Iris (which is definitely 'world class' in my opinion) I'm really excited about this new coaster. The main major coaster type they don't have is a launch coaster, so I'm hoping for a Mack launch with lots of airtime hills, like a blend between Helix and Alpina Blitz <3 I don't think they need something too inversion-based seen as Oz'Iris and Gouderix have that covered.
