In a nut shell, they're getting a new themed area based on Idefix the dog.

Parc Asterix is working on new theme area for 25th birthday

For its 25th anniversary next year, builds a Idefix Asterix attraction in a new theme area.

Next year the French Asterix blows out 25 candles and that includes a new attraction. Currently still working in secret and all, the project is still in draft form. Yet light general manager of the park, Pascal Fliche already a corner of the veil in a report of France5.

That Parc Asterix wants to promote a great novelty for its 25th anniversary in 2014, has been known for a while. But what exactly is that novelty, is still a mystery. Pascal Fliche, dircteur of the park, or already gave away that it was going to be a new theme area. Fliche told in a report of the program C'est notre affaire even the new zone will be themed after the famous dog from the French film history: Idefix.

Last year opened Parc Asterix even a new themed area and made the largest investment in its history. Then even The amusement park when invested 20 million euros in the thematic area of Egypt. That investment led to an increase in the number of visitors with 200,000 visitors.

Yay :--D I love Idefix! This is a much better reason to revisit Parc Asterix than the [strike]polishing of a turd[/strike] retracking of Gouderix

Ah, glad to see they're continuing on with the heavy investments. After seeing clips of their latest film (where they go to London) I'd rather see a new area based off some of the sets in that but anything new is a bonus....especially when the park involved is Asterix <3

Big update in regards to this. They've started clearing the an area of the park for this new kids area and it means the park has now lost one of it's creds!

The area for the Druid characters (the sort of forest-y area behind the Roman show building) is the area going under a complete removal ready for this new area. Rumours are that it'll have three new attractions aimed at kids under the age of 10.

In semi-related news, in one of the interviews that the park manager gave she unveiled that they aim to add a big ride every 4 years so expect their next large investment in 2016.

.

NOOOO - not ronde des rondins - I have a secret soft spot for that!

A new youtube video released by the park shows off the design of the new area and some of the new rides they're adding. Looks like it'll be a great area for the kids. Clearly the best news is that they're getting one of those crazy house things...

EDIT:

CDA have made a press release which states about the new attractions, wi-fi being installed around the major attractions, phone charging points to be installed by July and live actors roaming the park (I think this might have been something they axed last year?).

The biggest news is that OzIris will now be operating with 3 trains to deal with large waits and that the queue has been re-worked to help with guest flow.

They've also announced that 2015 will see a large new show at the park and 2016 will be a large thrill attraction for 2016!

a large thrill attraction for 2016!

If I remember correctly Oziris boosted the attendance with over 10%, so I will bet that they are going to go for another full scale thrill coaster.

Something like Krake would fit the park well in my opinion.
