NFL 2010 Season

The NFL 2010 season kicks off tomorrow (Thursday) with a rematch of last year's Superbowl as the Vikings take on the Saints in the Superdome. So here's the place to discuss all that is the NFL, only no comments from the Brits on the term football please (that's been done to death already thankyouverymuch).

I'm a Giants fan, of course, and the preseason hasn't been a good one. At least we finished it up with a win over the Patriots. Hopefully that was just what the team needed to get off to a good start against the Panthers on Sunday, but with Manning still recovering from that head injury I'm not sure how long it will take for Big Blue to get rolling.

So which team is your favorite? Who's going to go all the way? Are you looking forward to the season kicking off?

Favorite team is the Denver Broncos. We had a somewhat decent preseason, but we've been riddled with injuries, big one being Elvis Dumervil, but what I liked is that whenever the starters played most of the game, we were winning, as opposed to losing with the backups.

Kyle Orton looks very good in training camp, I love how he's so much more comfortable in the backfield and his arm looks incredible. And of course, I have to talk about Tebow. I think he looks good, not sure if he can usurp Quinn for second string, but with the way Quinn's been playing, it's certainly poissible. One of them's going because McDaniels said he does NOT want to have 3 QB's on the depth chart so who knows.

My Super Bowl prediction? Honestly, I don't have it set in stone BUT as of right now I have the Indianapolis Colts vs. Green Bay Packers. Make of that what you will, but I can't do it in preseason as well as regular season.

And I'm very much so looking towards the beginning of the season. I am absolutely ecstatic because football is awesome.

Yeah, the Buccaneers are definitely going all the way this year.

Anyways, they're my favorite team, with the Broncos following because of Tebow.

Hopefully we'll do better than the pitiful excuse for a season that happened last year.

^^Yeah cuz that'll happen

Wow, I expected people to actually say my prediction was bull. Hmmm.

It's way too early in the season to say your prediction is crap, as long as it isn't the same as SI's. :p
You do know they never get it right, don't you?

Of course I know SI never gets it right. Haven't they been saying the Chargers are supposed to be in it for the past decade?

And if it is the same as SI's, I didn't even know :p

And ECG, in the first post, it should've been rematch of last years NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME :)

I stand corrected. Don't know what I was thinking. I guess I liked that game better.

I feel I overuse the wink so I just put a smiley face. It's quite alright, just felt I should point it out.

When Brett Favre breaks his ankle or something, or really hurts it, I'll be sitting on my couch saying "I told you so" to myself.

Big Blue is kicking ass, but then it is against the Panthers. Still a good way to start the season, even if Manning had a few interceptions.

That was awesome.

I'm kinda pissed that Schaub only gave me 9 points, whereas had I played Orton, I would've got 18, or if I played Young, I would've got 20. **** me. BUT thanks to the Jets defense, I may just win!

I am a diehard Chiefs fan, so I hope they do well, but they are about a year or two away from where they need to be. This rain is definitely helping them. My superbowl prediction is Baltimore and Minnesota. Baltimore has all the tools to win it all.

Chiefs win AFC west, which is very weak, Houston will make the playoffs, Vick will be come back player of year, and Eric Berry will be Defensive Rookie of the Year. Oh, Arian Foster is a beast!

First of all: Ewww Chiefs! :p

Second: It's a long shot for Chiefs to win division. As a football fan, not a Bronco fan, they still have to compete with them AND the Chargers, so that's tough (and no one gives a toss about the Raiders)

I do agree with Houston finally going to the playoffs (if they keep Indy in line) but Vick? No dice Chicago. And as for Arian Foster, the second that game ended, I picked him up off of waivers (damn you Ryan Grant! *shakes fist*) so him and Bush could get me some serious points if they stay healthy and beast mode it up.

And idk who Eric Berry is so sure! :p

And this loves life:

Eric Berry was number 5 draft pick from Tennessee, everyone had him as the number one player in the draft, skill wise. Sorry to say this, but no Dumervil is going to kill the Broncos. Chargers are in a world of hurt with the hold outs, and well the Raiders, are the Raiders.
