New Rollercoaster at SFGAdv?

Ik that 2013 is the safari thing, and the next year will PROBABLY be a giga drop tower record breaker, but what next? Is anything coming in 2015-17? Does anyone have any idea? Is it going to be a wingrider? I would personally want a 4th Dimension ride like X2 made by S&S, but that is highly unlikely. BUt does anyone have any idea, or know any inside info?

It's going to be a B&M wing rider, but it will be that rumoured version where B&M have incorporated the rotating seats (Like the S&S 4Ds)

So the best of both worlds mate! I bet you can't wait for 2017!

It's still WAY to early to know about 2015-2017 without any direct contact with SF or the coaster manufacturer and that's something that so far in advance someone could lose a job.

Just my opinion but if I could pick the next coaster my vote would be something from RMC or super long steel monster (like what was rumored at SFMM)

The only thing that has been making waves lately is the Giga-drop tower. Other than the Bizarro relocation (which is officially debunked now that Safari Adventure is announced) there hasn't been much else going on in terms of coasters and flats. The Wing Rider rumor was really only tied in to Bizarro moving to another park (SFoT), so who knows if that's still going to happen in the next 2-3 years.

There are talks of adding in new shows for next year or the year after, mainly due to the fact that two of them got cancelled at some point this season. There also is still a depressing lack of flat rides in the park, but the moves done this year were definitely steps in the right direction. The carousel recently finished up its 3 year refurbishment and any other changes to the park for 2013 are probably image related (aka restaurants getting some much needed paint).

As for the "my wishlist" thing, personally I'd like a good family wooden coaster to replace Superman (ain't happenin') or be placed out by Nitro and play around in the trees, with the mudpit and with Congo Rapids (EXTREMELY UNLIKELY).

Also a good note to take: Great Adventure's latest installations and us enthusiasts truly finding out about them have really leaned on the permit applications done the season before the ride opens. Green Lantern was a last second move due to Great America not having the proper height clearance (they were short by like 15 ft if I remember right) and the only reason why anyone found out about it was because of Jackson Township publicly releasing the information. The same thing happened with 2012's announcements along with the 2008 addition of Dark Knight, other than the last possible second shtick.

With the Wing Rider rumors, they also have links going back to 2010 when Great American Scream Machine was announced to be torn down. I don't honestly think this is 100% true but it's pretty hilarious how everything tied together in my mind. Six Flags at the time was shipping Green Lantern over to the B&M facility to repaint the tracks and then ship them off to Great America. While Great America did already have a Stand-Up coaster in Iron Wolf it was rumoured that the ride would be leaving soon anyways, so Chang would be a perfect replacement for Iron Wolf. When Great America was denied permission to build Chang in their park, Six Flags swapped plans between Great Adventure and Great America so that Great Adventure would still get their new coaster for 2011 and Great America would get a replacement for Iron Wolf. Although Great America had to wait one more year, they were able to get the proper permits to build X-Flight and also allow Six Flags to relocate Iron Wolf to a new home in Six Flags America.

tl;dr:
SFGAm - X-Flight + 1 year wait for Green Lantern
SFGAdv - Green Lantern for X-Flight
SFA - Iron Wolf from GAm

Yeah it is quite a stretch with the theory, definitely should've kept it to myself. A similar instance happened with Cedar Point and Knott's during the 02-03 seasons with Wicked Twister, TTD, and Xcelerator, so that's why I even consider it a possibility. Was the rumored coaster for Great Adventure supposed to be a Wing Rider? Well considering only one was built while this ish was going down I personally doubt it.

I do know that Green Lantern was originally going to go to Great America because there were already pieces appearing there in the original Chang colors. I do know that Chang was denied permission to be built at Great America due to it exceeding the height restriction. Could Iron Wolf operate along with Chang if it was approved? Sure, but it'd be awkward with two Stand-ups in the same park (yeah I know the redundancy discussion). The only speculation/theory out of this is why it all actually happened and how it ties together.

Here's the threads that started the discussions about Chang coming to NJ:
