I made a last minute decision last night to go to Fuji Q today, specifically to ride Eejanaika, which was ****ing closed!

Anyway, I was surprised to see a new 59 meter Chair-O-Planes ride, called Tekkotsu Bancho, testing, ready to open on Saturday. Some pictures:

At the end of the day it was testing with a few people on it, I'm guessing staff, so looks like it's all good to go.

Also, Haunted Hospital has been closed for 3 weeks, due to open again on Saturday, too. Obviously, not a lot can be done in that time, but the park seems to be advertising something new happening.

Weird! As I've been typing this, the Fuji Q website has totally changed.

Haunted Hospital page here: http://www.fujiq.jp/attraction/senritsu.html

I noticed this one yesterday: http://www.fujiq.jp/meikyu/index.html

Seems that there have been a series of videos running from early June. Can't understand them (will get someone to have a look for me later), but seems that the staff are getting some "training."

Monday is a national holiday here, so I guess they're expecting a busy weekend, and I chose a **** day to go! I'm leaving on Monday though, and no way I'm going near that place on a weekend.

Oh, and they've finally sorted out their English website:

You know, I was JUST saying the other day "MAN, Fuji Q could do with another low capacity ride", I'm glad they listened!

^It's actually pretty high capacity for Fuji Q! 24 people every 5 minutes!

You should see the other new ride this season, the rapids ride. Great ride! FOR A MUCH SMALLER, BETTER RUN PARK!

Today was quiet and I still waited an hour for it. 80% of the massive 4-person boats were being sent with 2 people in them. 2 people every 2 minutes!

It is a very good ride though, just a serious, serious error of judgement. I'll do a report at some point, but got a few others backed up yet.

Hey, Gavin.

The Haunted Hospital gets refreshed somewhat often. It had no fewer than 3 different plots during the 3 years that I lived in Japan. (The plots are explained in the movie before the photo op.)

Totally agree that Fuji-Q's biggest problem is one of ride selection. They have great rides and a good variety, but nothing truly high capacity other than Fujiyama.

It looks like they're pimping it up lol, They must be giving them propper scare training and maybe even changing some things inside of it? Looks interesting non-the-less!

That's just about the worst looking Star Flyer I've ever seen.

I also have a strange urge to buy some insect repellent.
