So is this a new one or a relocated one?

^ Judging by the GIB page on RCDB then this one is brand new...

Looks really nice in Swedish colours :P

This may be a bit stupid to ask, but, what's the problem with the other ones that have been built previous? Why is their down-time actually a lot longer then they're actually running?

I was never at the DV much before it was removed, but it's got to do with the system to catch the train.

It consists of a brake mounted to a catch car attached to a pulley/cable/motor. The catch car moves in order to catch the train in motion. Vekoma built what seemed like 1000 extra sensors into the system, and if any of them detect something amiss, the computer shuts down the whole thing.

One night I was at the unit, we had something like 28 trouble calls in 5 hours. The maintenance guys never strayed far away while it was still there.

This was spitefully close to opening when we went, which is now about two weeks ago. They were just finishing off pathes and stuff to the ride.

Sue as a fellow geologist and having ridden this in January I can tell you it is everything you would expect a coaster themed to limestone to be... It was also one of the oddest rides I have ever been on.

The GIB happened to be open when I went, It had some fairly bad issues and I got stuck on the rear spike for about 20mins... not the most comfortable position to be in when you are facing vertically down.

Oh yeah, their kiddie is massively **** up, but, I love it. It just seems it's themed to rocks though. Which I guess it is...
