Most neglected rides and coasters

Oh dear! These rides might be great if they were up to scratch but they are in dire need of some TLC from their abusive owners. Perhaps its a coaster where the track and support paint is rusty and peeling off and the ride is rattly and rough (Colossus at Thorpe for example) or maybe its a dark ride or something where the basic hardware is fine but the theming has gone to **** with broken scenery or half the targets not working if its a shooter (Tomb blaster is a great example).

Stampida is a good shout for this topic too IMO, if they ever bother to retrack the whole ride it would be a very enjoyable family woodie, as of now the retracked bits are great but the rest was an abomination.

Im not well travelled so Im sure some of you have seen some much worse examples of neglected rides! Im curious to hear about them...

Also if you can think of an entire park as a whole thats really neglected, post it down below!

Easily Shockwave at Drayton Manor, the queue line still has three different "This ride is sponsored by" plaques up

At least Shockwave is vaguely smooth. I think Colossus gets my vote, mainly because it shouldn't have been left to get into that state at one of the UK's biggest parks. Plus I remember how gorgeous it looked when new.

Entire Slagharen <//3 Such an ugly brown craphole dump. The park literally looks like poop and the entire place doesn't know what maintenance is.

Gross, even the name sounds vile (at least it does if your British as a "slag" is a girl who sleeps around).

^ I guess the people who are from the actual town of Slagharen would be pleased to hear what you have to say. ;)

^^Im sure its a nice place, its not hard to better than Northampton but if you are British the first thing you'll notice is "slag" in the name. Im sure many other countries wont even have heard of the term.

Lakeside Amusement Park. This is a park notorious for maintaining a presence circa 1955 - operating on a shoe string budget, with rides that could carry a far greater aesthetic wow factor if giving a new coat of paint and some tender attention.

The log flume at BonBon Land is disgusting! Dirty, falling apart, cobwebs everywhere and it smells. I thought I was gonna catch a disease just from riding it. I mean the whole of BonBon Land is basically neglected, but this ride in particular was in a shocking state.

It has to be Colossus in the UK, for a park the size of Thorpe, it's really unacceptable to have a ride in that state.

^ I 100% agree. When I went to Thorpe in Easter you could see that fresh sky blue paint was being tested on parts of the quadruple inline twists so Im optimistic that it will see a repaint during the upcoming closed season.

Aww I loved Revolution. I do hope they aren't getting rid of it. Didn't think it looked unloved
Actually, the word on the street is that it'll be renovated for it's 40th anniversary. It's to be repainted, given new trains(with lapbars), and a few other tidbits to make it ridable again.

I hope this happens actually. I'm not one for Schwarzkopf coasters generally, but Revolution has the potential to be one of the best with new lap bar trains. I quite like it anyway, but the OTSR's were annoying.
