London Dungeons

Never been to the Dungeons before so don't know exactly what to expect, so have a few questions,
1. How bad will the queues be for standard annual pass entry this sat roughly? (I am imagining horrific)
2. Is the new drop ride anything in comparison to Extremis? (I really wanted to ride extremis before it left)
3. Are there any decent scare maze sections along the lines of the old Bedlam scene, I can't seem to find any on the map anywhere...

1) Sometimes the queues have been hitting on 4 hours or so - get there early is all I can recommend.
2) It's different... I wouldn't say better, the old Extremis had an amazing drop sensation, this is a LOT weaker.
3) No, not whatsoever. With the new rebrand of The Dungeon's to "Fear is a funny thing", they've eradicated all of those types of elements. You'll no longer see panda eyes and blood, no longer see random scares throughout, everything is authentic (if it's meant to be wood, it'll be wood) etc. etc.

It's actually pretty good to be fair. A lot of people prefer the old one, but to be fair, it's understandable. It's a good move what they did and there's a lot of chance for them to do new things with it in the future. It's well worth a visit, don't know about repeat visitations though?

Thanks for the answers, shame about the drop towers not being as good as extremis and the removal of the scare maze style parts. Oh well sounds like it's worth a visit!

As for queues I've never queued to get in with my annual pass, literally always gone straight in.

If you've not been to the original Dungeons, its cool. However, if you have experienced the original Dungeons then the new one is utter tripe in comparison. Every room is too square and atmospherically static. The acoustics are all wrong and the organic nature of the attraction is completely ruined by Merlins constant lack of detail.

I never went to the original Dungeons, but I do agree with your points. I did think it was cool, but it definitely lacks detail in some rooms and then there's the whole problem that most rooms are square. But overall it was great! I posted a review on the trip reports topic which goes into a lot of detail.
