Information about this park is hard to come by. It seems as though the safari park itself has been around since 2000, although I's yet to find any information about any rides, including this one.

If anybody finds information, then they will post it. Badgering people can't make images that don't exist suddenly appear.

http://vhcoasters.com/ is the best resource I know of for Asian and obscure parks - keep on checking there, though we do tend to get updates from their webmaster (roomraider) when he has them.

Yes there is. When translated, the new version one is going to here, Hopi Hari and italy.

I believe the Safari Park is still called Chongqing Safari Park but the new rides section contained within will be called LocaJoy Holiday.

Anyway there's nothing really going on at the moment apart from some possible land clearing. The latest Google Sat image is from this month (im not so sure though) so is to get an idea of the area and there's a few mud caked sections but no obvious signs of footers or track yet.

The link below should link to that point. The Safari Park is to the North of the Lake and looks like some kind of holiday village to the south.

No land clearing within the park. (that is a massive industrial estate to the north east :p )

So apart from RCDB, do we have any kind of confirmation that this is actually happening.....?

It was one of the ones that Coastersandmore.de got from Intamin at EAS and I know Duane got it from Intamin themselves at the RCDB. It is happening. But I dont see it opening until later.

There's plenty of Chinese news sites that reported on it too. For example.

They also mention a May Day opening so we have time.

Ooohh jumped the gun there with those pics. Dug up a ton more. Excitingly they show a 2nd coaster... Vekoma Stingray? i guess time will tell.

Everytime I hear someone mention those Vekoma Stingray's the intro to the kids TV show pops into my head.

Would a mod be able to change the name of the Park to LocaJoy Holiday? as the park name has changed with this massive expansion.
