Knott’s Berry Farm announced that the Timber Mountain Log Ride will close for 5 months as it undergoes a major mufti-million dollar refurbishment & restoration starting later this month. Garner Holt Productions will work with Knott’s to upgrade all the ride figures & sets as well as add new scenes & characters to enhance the ride experience while still maintaining the original theming & storyline of the oldest log flume ride in America.
The Calico Log Ride, as it was originally named, was the second log flume ride in the USA when it opened in 1969 & remains the most popular ride in the park, surpassing all of Knott’s other attractions in ridership.

Long overdue. It's still an enjoyable log ride though.

The only time I visited Knott's was during the log flume's last revamp back in 2005. It looks like a gorgeous log flume, which I am really bummed out on missing.

Even though I've not rode it, it still seems like a bit of a hidden gem in terms of something that's just 'that bit more than a Flume'. I'm looking forward to seeing what they're going to do with it.

It's really not.

Maybe it was because we'd ridden Splash Mountain the day before but, it's basically just a log flume, lets face it. It's old and it's not bad or anything, but it's not amazing.

How the good green **** do you spend millions on a Log Flume though?
