Is Calling/Texting between US and Canada free just like Canada-Canada or US-US/US-Puerto Rico? or are there international charges?
My carrier is AT&T and several friends of mine have moved to Canada

You'd have to call your phone company I think, as every one would be different. I doubt texting would cost, as long as your phone isn't roaming. Not sure about calling though.. I think that would be long distance.

One thing that bugs me is that an American can call from Maine to California for free/dirt-cheap-internal calls. Whereas for the English, most of Europe is closer than that but costs massive international rates. Balls.

Thats cuz America is AWESOME!

Hahaha you know whats really stupid. When I worked for Virgin Mobile it was 35p/min to ring another network in the UK... but only 20p/min to ring America.

Think its changed now but still mad it would cost me less to ring America than my mate down the pub because hes on o2.

During moments of boredom, I've often wondered if it's more to contact an Irish mobile from the UK..or even between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Hahaha, I bet that will confuse most Yanks.

No I understand completley. My entire Controversies class was spent being taught by Cafferty about the IRA/UDA Conflict.

And Taylor: No txting would cost 20 cents per msg to canada.

I know my friend Sophie from Belfast can't text her boyfriend in Dublin cheaply. It just gets very silly.

I'm going to hijack this topic to ask about international texting.

My friend Joy (who lives in the US) can successfully send texts to her friend Hayley here in the UK. However, when she tries to text either Sara or myself, they never arrive. I'm on Virgin, Sara's on O2, and no idea what network Hayley is on. I'll ask her.

Any ideas?

Turns out Hayley is also on O2. She's not on a special tarrif, and has not done anything to "activate it". WTF?

Your friend, Joy, is a liar and actually doesn't like you or Sara as much as she likes Hayley?

^I think seriously though, shes probably forgetting to text you/and or doesnt care enough to pay that much money per text. Tarriff plans, if not active, dont work at all so im smelling some bull ****

Please can somebody make me a facepalm smiley, or where's Kimahri with one of those picture things he likes to post.
