If you could add more theming/effects to a ride

Nemesis of oblivion

Strata Poster
Basically some rides can be rather plain or need a little more when it comes to theming. So what would kind of theming elements would you add to the ride.

I would opt for Air to have its original concept theme.

If I remember correctly, it was going to be a special weapon to combat Nemesis, or was that just speculation?

I would make Maverick the way it was when I first rode it.. and it was spectacular.
Don't worry, those misters are being put to good use on Shoot the Rapids.

Millennium Force during Halloweekends is the best ride, as the haunted house directly underneath it spews off excess fog and lighting effects. To have that during the actually ride would definitely take it up a notch.

I've always thought Dueling Dragons (or I guess it's called Dragon Challenge now) could do with some flamejet effects. Maybe have a couple of them shoot off right at the point where the two trains loop away from each other.

Personally I think this list is pretty much endless, the majority of coasters out there have little to no theming, even the ones that do have a theme could be improved in one way or another, if it's not there its generally because the park didn't believe it was a worthwhile investment and they're propbably never going to change their mind.

The only time I can see a park adding theming to an existing ride is if they didn't have the time/money to add it in the first instance but add it as soon as they have the chance (Krake).

Or if an 'amusement' park was to change direction and become a 'Theme' Park.

I'd move any parking lot coaster (most notably Scream! at Magic Mountain) some ten metres straight down. Make all the close-to-ground bits go in tunnels underground, so that you repeatedly switch between dark tunnels and being upside down high up in the air.

If the Ropers should somehow win their lawsuit, I can imagine Oblivion working well inside a building. Imagine the drop inside a large hall, going straight down into a hole in the floor. Add flashing lights and sound effects at leisure.

In general, most coasters could benefit from more forest.

Hmm, I would say Nemesis Inferno because I think that there could have been alot of fun with near misses with the Volcano theme...

Which is a complete and utter shame. You rode it with those things on.. and it made sex in your FACE. Still, to this day, those first rides were my favorite on Mavvy.

X:/ NWO does need more theming that works.

I'd actually add more themeing into Chessington. The theming that's there is good but there is no over-riding theme at all. Just small themes for each individual attractions.

^ Totally area with that, it doesn't need more theming that works, it just needs theming altogether inside, there's absolutely nothing, it's ridiculous.

I'd like to add special effects on Big One at PBB. I'd add the effect of as your going threw the tunnel, the tunnel rotates so it appears your going upside down when your not. And maybe some more tunnels along the track & some florescent lighting.

Most of the Spinning Tunnels only work because they're in the dark, it really wouldn't work in that little tunnel on PMBO.

Loads of rides would benefit from them but I think X:\ No Way Out is the best example.

Thirteen's crypt and Air's tunnel also lack excitement.
