So I gave up with MegaForce for now. Lost all interest in it... I decided to try and make a nice quick, twisted ride with a different start than your typical roller coaster and a small - medium footprint.

I have probably over supported some areas, and under supported others. And smoothing is not perfect, but best I can do, especially since i'm using the mac version with no tools...

Anyways:

Height: 37m
Length: 972m
Top Speed: 51mph

Edit. Tweaked the corner going into the final helixes. There was a nasty spike in lateral Gs.

You're still using prefabs... Ditch them and support conventionally.

The best thing to do is study other Maurer rides to see how they're supported ;)

Also, have you considered boot camp or parallels?

Like Xpress pointed out, pre-fabs really are a no-no these days. Once you've been building for a while and gotten used to how NL works, you should switch to custom supports as soon as you can. They're far more versatile and don't just look like you couldn't be bothered.

As for the track, it was OK I guess. There were some pumps and some of the segments were too long, which generally made the ride feel more pumpy and jerky. The layout was alright, if it was smooth it would've been a lot better. So not bad, you'll get there in the end!

PS. Just because you can't use tools is no excuse for not making a smooth and good coaster.

Whoops, missed the link...

Yeah, you really do need to start smoothing, and using an appropriate number of segments to gain the amount of desired control. Ditch the prefab supports, start heartlining and smoothing everything, and you should be good. Also, highlight segments and press I on your keyboard to straighten segments.

Another note on prefabs:

Prefab supports look great on the appropriate rides. For the most part, you should only be using them on Arrow/Vekoma rides, seeing as they're modeled after them. They look best on them, and there's no need to make a fancy 3d model track connector for a realistic look. They don't work out so well at height though. Rides like Canobie Corkscrew would look best with prefabs.

Besides the launch track being at an angle at the beginning (shouldn't ever have curved launch track) I echo the rest of the thread.

The pacing was really bad on this ride, I got bored.

I change the launch speed to 39mph and reduced the trains size to 2 cars per train and the flow was much better. Also, use more nodes (track segments) to create long or difficult maneuvers because they just end shaping odd and riding awkward.

just because your on a make doesn't mean you can't make it smooth.but if you want the pc version do what xpress said get a copy of windows os, and put it on your mac
