Steel sexiness full of win that I will be dying to go on next year. Does that count as good speculation?

yeah i remember when they had those online surveys asking people about what sort of new roller coaster they would want. im guessing its not a coincidence that a few months later theyre announcing a 9MIL announcement. im guessing its a roller coaster.

If it's a steel roller coaster, I can't imagine it being too large or anything wild. If $9 million is true, I'd expect a junior boomerang.

If $9 million is true, I'd expect a junior boomerang.

Wells thats about £6m, and I'm pretty certain Ben 10 didn't cost anywhere near that much. And remember, you guys in the States get a lot more for your money than we do.

Batman la Fuga (the Batman clone at Parque Warner) did cost 6 million € according to rcdb. It was back in 2002 though.

^ But what is that including? That's the big question.

When a park says "$9 million investment" I think they mean total cost.

^Don't know what's included. And Parque Warner added both Superman and Batman in the same year (opening year of the park), so I guess they got some kind of package deal from B&M..

Well I dont really think its going to be anything that big. Skyrush at hersheypark is costing 25 million and thats not exactly the longest coaster out there in terms of duration or length. With whatever Holiday World is announcing I really dont know if 9 million can get that much. Everything seems so expensive these days, but theres lots of compact experiences 9 million could get. For example, zac spins and mega lites! So im still hopefuly, I just definetly dont think its going to be a particularly long experience in terms of time or long in the way that voyage goes far out and far back.

that is true, I wonder if they will be getting yet another wooden coaster?
Maybe a really compact and long GCI? 9 million could easily fit under that budget.

How exactly can it be compact and long?

With the amount of press noise they are making about this, I expect it to be a major coaster. As others have pointed out, you can't really get a major steel coaster for that, but you can get wood, so I expect (and hope) it will be wooden. I think they will go down the path of marketing themselves and having their image as wooden coaster capital of the world. A wooden Cedar Point. :)

Currently the park with the most woodies in the world is Blackpool with 5. If this was a racing GCI, that would equal the record. :)

Please note that I am taking this with a tub of salt, but the video footage for the ride was leaked late last noght (apparently) and it is a large ass, spinning water coaster/raft ride called Mammoth.

NOW, something that has come from Holiday Worlds Facebook....they gave a hint of "In order to make this happen, we are losing one record bit gaining another".

Switching between the hideouts'...

I've set up a construction topic in the construction forum, it seemed like the best place for it.
