Holiday world ideas

I live near Holiday World in Indiana and was just wondering what everyone's opinion is about the park, and if they should get any new rides, make any changes, etc.

My crap idea is that they need an Easter themed section, with the anchor attraction being a Jr Woodie with lots of little hills, imaginatively named the "Bunny Hopper"....Along with that have your usual Holiday World stuff with flats that have awkward themes etc...Most likely to do with either Eggs or Chocolate.

I thought the park was... alright I guess. Not really a lot for me there as I dislike little fairground-like flats. Raven wasn't running when I went. It was the last park of 10 days at parks and was followed by an 11 hour drive... so probably didn't have the best experience of it. It was also SO hot. So... SO hot.

I think the park needs to keep doing what it's doing tbh. It's found a niche and it does it well. The park is cute, just a bit out of the way for almost everyone in the WORLD.

I love Holiday World, one of my favourite parks, in fact. So yeah, they don't have a lot of coasters, but Voyage makes up for everything, Legend is a laugh, and Raven is alright too. I think the holiday theme is pretty cute too and most of it is pulled off quite well, not to mention they have good food, a nice kiddie area, shows, free pop, nice flats, and a waterpark, which means there's something to do for everyone.

I don't think changes need to be made.. From what I have seen, they're doing great.

They do need to turn away from the random placing of rides.. like all of Thanksgiving land.. and start with a great theme again. The rest of the park looks thought out and planned.. but Thanksgiving just looks.. thrown out and poorly put together. I dunno.. might look like that even if it was planned.. but still doesn't feel right.

Who knows whats next.

I agree with the easter idea, and it is very hot in indiana trust me i know. ive lived here all my life. i think a new theme is a great idea and would open up lots of ride opportunities for the park.

holiday world

Does holiday world have any steel coasters?

I've never been there but I know it has two amazing woodies: voyage and raven.

For me, that's not enough to make it a great park. It's probably mediocre

For me I'd say a inverted themed to Santa's wild ride. Plus I knew Will Many years and one of the things he liked to see at the park would have been a Inverted coaster.

Dream wise, alter Raven and add more to it, its such a fun ride but just so SO short. I would like to see a launch coaster there which would be nice, but hey, who says it would have to be steel.

Placement of the inverted would be in Christmas, station would be the 2nd story of the Libery shop. lead out over the heads of christmas area.

To bad Will died, He was the future of that park and with his passing the park is going to fail so hard.

Uhh...the park won't die just cause Will died (which is a very sad happening). My friends who went to Holiwood Nights the year he passed he made mention of having big plans in store for Holiday World. The only people who now know of this information are his immediate family who have already said that they will continue with his 5-or-so year plan for the park and its overall development.

Even when I went there in October of last year to ride the Timberliners (that weren't ready at that point T-T) we spoke to Pat and even she said to not count them out of the run yet, that they do plan on continuing what Will started with Voyage.

I was there just once and it was a little while ago. I recall that it seemed spread out, so there should be room for new things. The great hospitality which includes free parking and free drinks should not change. That is one of the things that they are best known for. I was never pleased with the idea of a wood only or steel only park. If they put in a B&M invert or floorless looper, I think that would fit in quite well. It shouldn't be too big or flashy, that would contradict their traditional country style atmophere.
