Germany’s Holiday Park has been sold to Studio 100, the company that owns the small chain of Plopsa parks. According to what I’m told, Studio 100 wants to expand the park and plans to invest 25 million Euros over the next 4 years.

It also seems like EGF will be renamed and re-themed into Anubis...

I think that it might be a good move since Holiday Park is pretty dire as it is at the moment...

I think its great news as well as the park needs investment.

But will 25 million euros over 4 years be enough? Not so sure.

I LOVED the park, especially the medieval themed area, was fab <3

Nice and clean too. I think Plop would ruin the atmosphere - I don't know what their parks are like, but a chain/franchised thing would ruin its charm I feel. :(

Well they could get a new coaster or two for that kind of money, and seeing what the old management have done for the park recently (more or less nothing) then any investment would be good.

I mean it's a really nice park so they only have to do some re-themeing on the rides, not re-build the whole park...

Re-theming EGF could be interesting (with what little it has already), but I hate ride name changes. I think it's incredibly annoying, because when I go to research the ride, I can't remember its name.

None of the Studio 100 figures that can be seen in De Panne, Coo or Coevorden will be introduced in Holiday Park. There will also be no namechange in the near future.

Studio 100 will slightly introduce other figures they own in the park, that are very popular in Germany. Such as: Pippi Longstocking, Vicky The Viking and Maya The Bee!

Only been to the one in De Panne and loved it there, did not understand the theme but everyone (apart from Stone Cold) liked it.

I did not think much of this park, EGF and that was it really. Huge park with bugger all there.

Well this is all fun and dandy. Does this mean my lift cable is going to be worth more?

Thank god! This park is rubbish as it is today! They could really need a clean up and som "re"-theming (most of the rides lack any kind of theming as it is today). Another ride than the over hyper EGF would be great as well! Then, maybe, I would go back. Not sure really, if I were nearby I would probably consider another day at Europa Park instead.
