Hainan Space Theme Park to build new Spinning Coaster

TheCoasterCruiser

Giga Poster
Found this on http://vhcoasters.com/#

"Another new Chinese park has been announced and initial press releases talk of a large spinning coaster which will travel in and out of a giant dome meant to represent the sun. The park named Hainan space theme park is currently due to open in 2013 with construction beginning within the next few weeks. Below are a few concept images released with the press release."

Sounds cool.

But what really caught my eye here was those Intamin-screaming restraints on the concept art!
- Could we be looking at another Intamin Spinning monster?

Please don't use photoshopped images as basis for manufacturer speculation. Next you'll be saying its a Vekoma based on the track going out of the sun.

^

I know what you mean and was thinking about it before i posted it, but still.
I think it's worth keeping an eye on, and us enthusiasts need something to speculate about! :--D

Apart from the restraints, it looks more like a Mack spinner than anything. Especially with the cars being joined together. Clearly influenced by Space Fantasy, which is also a Mack.

^ Can't agree more. I'd say Mack. They did the one at Universal that's themed to space, with cars like this, so I'd say it's kind of safe to place bets on it being that. Plus, in terms of the graphic, Thorpe used Inferno's restraints on Stealth on one of their promotional graphics...

Actually i think this will be Maurer. My reasoning is that they mentioned they were adding a launched spinner in China during IAAPA to Duane at the RCDB, We've been keeping an eye out for it for awhile and this is the only one that "Could" be this ride.

Of course it might not be :)
