Good result for Dollywood, who took 5 of the 25 awards. Dollywood also played host to the award ceremony.

I kinda wonder do the people who vote in these ever change their opinions or just experience one or two things and never ride/go anywhere else again.

I'm sure the Intamin fanboys are happy that they have the top two coasters in the world. It's a shame that Skyrush didn't get that much love, it sure as hell deserved more than 6%.

I don't disagree (notice the wording) with any of those results EXCEPT the Millennium Force one. **** sake, Maverick is better and it's in the same bloody park!

They seem to be the usual predictable results as every year though, so they'll be ignored again soon.

This year, there was not ONE ride/park/whatever outside the USA among the winners...

Yeah, bought and paid for, those Golden Tickets.

EDIT: Wait, for coasters, tenth place in the Wood poll and eighth place in the Steel poll. And Europa Park as second best park overall. I guess that counts as an acknowledgement of civilization outside the US.

Well, when you have mostly North American voters who've been to mostly American parks.. what more can you expect?

You're basically yelling at the kettle for being black Poke.

off all the new for 2012 rides I've ridden my list would be as followed

1)Skyrush
2)Shambhala
3)Leviathan
4)Verbolten

All of which hit my top 20. As for Milf's win streak it's a little people clearly need to get out more.

I don't know what's more predictable each year, the results, or people's reactions to them.

Yes, they're wrong. Yes, they're focused on America. But, they're American awards. And if there's anything that defines everything American ever, it's being wrong and focusing on America.

Wild Eagle!?

Nothing against it but....Wild Eagle over Skyrush, or Leviathan? Hell even Shambhala (not that I expected that to get any votes). X-Flight even had a few talks about it but I never heard a thing about WE.

I honestly don't see the GTA as nearly so bad as its made out to be, but this one is pretty silly.

Sure is coincidental Dollywood was hosting the event

Surprised X-Flight was a total non-factor. Obviously the host park had something to do with that.

Also, why in the world is "Best Carousel" a category? I'm no carousel aficionado, but aren't they pretty much all the exact same thing?

It's disappointing while the results are predictably incorrect every year, they are also pretty much identical year-to-year. I'm fairly sure that Cedar Point will continue to be named Best Park until the whole place just sinks into Lake Erie.

Or until Cedar Fair stop supporting the awards ;)

My favorite ride and or park was not mentioned therefore these results are gay and I slept with their mothers. Also Toro isn't a very good wooden coaster and cedar point is cedar fair so it's obviously terrible.

Whilst I don't take much notice of these awards either, I do agree with these :)

Best Dark Ride
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Orlando, Fla.

Best Halloween Event
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando, Orlando, Fla.

Touche. I wonder if naming Bizarro the #1 coaster for a couple years was a bargaining move on Amusement Today's part... "You want Millie at #1 again? Well, the rates for that one have gone up."

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, which was mildly entertaining for about an hour, beating Blackpool for 'Best Seaside Park' really underlines what a joke these awards are.

Hey look, the awards that are predictable and biased every year are predictable and biased. Who knew?
