Girl breaks neck at Tayto Park

Great. Another "rollercoasters are dangerous" headline. That's all we need.
I've not been on that coaster yet, but I'd imagine it's not all that violent as wooden coasters go, so... my immediate reaction is there's probably more to this than the news story suggests.

Not quite as headline-y as it may seem (incident dates from last August), but still...
A man who says his 12-year-old daughter broke her neck while riding the Cú Chulainn rollercoaster in Tayto Park has called for an overhaul of the regulations overseeing theme parks and funfairs.

Well that was kept quiet. Probably some undiagnosed medical condition, otherwise me, Jordan and davidm would be replying to this topic using Stephen Hawkins' wheelchair computer.

The TV report that sparked this is weird, pointing at random facebook comments complaining about a lack of "neck support". OTSRs don't really provide neck support do they? it's more downward pressure and restraint.

Sorry but if you don't notice your neck is broken for that long you A. Probably aren't that injured B. Probably deserved it.

Recently a number of people have been sharing posts written by the family about the girl on to Tayto Park's Facebook page, and on a few of the park's posts people have commented about it as well. The posts are demanding that the park to accept blame for the incident.
Does anyone know if anything more is happening in regards to this incident? A court case? Investigation?
Anything official, or are the family just waging war via Facebook?

I made the mistake of commenting on one of the posts saying the ride is clearly safe as no one else has been hurt by it. And suggesting that it was probably an undiagnosed medical condition. Therefore not the park's fault.
The people didn't like that and accused me of blaming the girl for the incident, and that I must have links to the park.
The posted was then deleted. And now a woman (who wasn't one of the posters or commenters) has privately messaged me on Facebook, ranting at me accusing me of spreading lies about her daughter...
And she sent me an old profile picture of mine showing me on Cu Chulainn claiming it to be proof that I have links to the park... (you know as opposed to having just visited the park)
