Weather was nice.
Car park was busy, but park was OK.
Most queues about 20 mins.
Spacker band FTW.
Lights ON in X:\WTF. Still ****. Block breaks holding you for longer than usual.
One train operation on just about everything - including Stealth which was running the "name train".
Nothing much doing in octopus garden, just a few diggers.
New 'Terror Zone' bit for Fright Nights outside Vortex - just a load of old theming/junk from stores plonked in amongst some lighting.
You can buy a Bounce Back for Fright Nights for £15 (excludes 28-31 Oct)
You can buy an annual pass Fright Night ticket in the AP shed for £5, avoiding stupid charges.
Really seriously bored of the place now.

So yeah, it was about as good as it could've been... except for the fact that its Thorpe.

I think that's the problem with Thorpe, it get's boring if you visit too often. At least that's what I think.

In other parks you can explore and have places to chill out. At CWoA and FL there are zoos, AT has massive gardens and quirky nooks and crannies, Blackpool has tonnes of different style rides and the seafront is right outside...Thorpe is a concrete circle with a few (albeit decent) rides. I used to love the farm. *sigh*

Erm, great report. 11/10.

Its only the 3rd time I've been this year, but I've done it to death over the last couple of seasons. You're right, its got some good rides, but I just don't really enjoy it any more.

Ditto to the above :)

I do enjoy the rides, but when I go to a park, I want to do more than ride the same rides 200 times, or queue three hours to go on five rides which are good, but not worth really queueing for. I find one trip to Thorpe every two years or so is enough for me. Or short trips where you pop in and ride something on the way to Hastings, or just go and sit chewing the cud with mates and not riding anything

I visited Thorpe at the start of September, and tbh, even on my first visit to the place, had had my fill by noon. Conversely, was able to spend full days at Chessie and Legoland.

Thorpe Park - what happens nine months later when Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Drayton Manor had sex.
