Following Amanda "Fab" Thompson's tweet about some fat person wearing lycra, the question I'm posing is about food at theme parks.

When you visit a park, do you use it as an excuse to eat fast food, or do you seek out the healthy option? Perhaps you take your own food or don't eat at all!

Depends on Parks rules ect, Depends for example disney were quite expensive for food so just got food where as Blackpool we would get a proper lunch.
Depends on park rules ect like no food brought into the park ect.

I don't really eat between 6 AM and 6 PM, otherwise, like if it isn't the off season and I happen to actually be staying in the park for a considerable time after 6 PM then I usually leave the park for dinner and comeback seeing as the food is so expensive and I eat so much when I do eat.

I'm easy when it comes to park food. If I am going to actually buy food at a park, it's almost always going to be fast food. I can't be arsed with anything else to be honest. I sometimes take my own food too though, it's much cheaper, easier and less hassle for me. The fact that there is a Tesco just round the corner from the train station at Uttoxeter means that I often take my own food to Alton.

So yeah, whatever I'm feeling like on the day.

If I'm at a park I'll only eat once because the food is pretty expensive. When I eat, it's almost definitely gonna be fast food and once in a while the buffets or sit down restaurants. It's all unhealthy though, so whatever. I don't worry about my weight when I'm at a theme park, because I figure I'm walking all day and burning it off anyway.

I aim for cheap, but if people want to eat something in particular, I'm always game.

really the food in a park doesn't matter to me. i'll only eat the fast food if the park charges high food prices in restaurants (i.e. Disney/Universal Studios) but normally i d like to take an hour or so out of roller coaster riding to have a proper sit down meal

lolwut?

I'll at least try and eat some fruit or veg but most of the time I just do the standard fast food thing. If I'm with the family we'll bring our own lunch =]

I nearly always take my own food and I eat in the queuelines. I have only ever bought food in the pizza place in blackpool, in Phantasialand when I had a free food voucher and a few times in Flamingoland. When I buy food in a park, it depends of what kind of food the restaurant offers. I just choose whatever I feel like.

Depends on the park really. I tend to take my own food to parks like Lightwater and Pleasure Island, but I'll have Burger King at Thorpe/BPB, and whatever I fancy at Alton. All the food I've tried at Alton is nice, so I have what ever I fancy at the time really.

If I'm with a group I'll just go with the majority; I'm really not fussy at all. I actually quite like eating crap I suppose, as I try to eat a lot more healthily normally and tend to avoid fast food. If it was up to me to make the decision, I'd just see what was closest when we were ready to eat and just be done with it.

If I end up in a park by myself, I'll either just not bother eating, or grab something from a food stall and eat as I'm walking. I'd rather be looking around and riding stuff than sitting down and eating. It's different with a group because it's nice to just chill, talk and have a laugh for a bit, but I won't usually take time out to eat if I'm alone.

^^^^
I just eat massively large amounts of food at breakfast and dinner and hardly ever eat anything in the middle of the day with the rare exception of an ice-cream if it's a hot day.

I usually try to avoid buying park food since it's so expensive, but when I do eat at a park, I don't mind seeking out a particular restaurant/vendor if they're selling something that I'm kind of in the mood for. Most of the time, I just try to go with whatever option I perceive to be the most value.. since I'm shelling out a lot of money, I may as well get the most food for it that I can.

I'm definitely in the "fast food" camp. If I'm visiting a park with family, I'll usually eat a packed lunch with them. Otherwise it's salt/grease/sugar all the way.

Fast food/Restaurant food at the park every time.

I don't visit theme parks all too often an consider going to them a treat... I am therefore happy to splurge when I'm there...

I mean lets be honest, a nice pub lunch and a pint/pizza hut/KFC etc etc or some crushed sandwiches and crisps.... there's no contest.

Edit.... Err,I don't know if that equates to the unhealthy food option, I didn't really read the question till now.... I guess the majority is unhealthy, such as the kfc or pizzahut, but would say pie and mash with a few pints in a pub at the park be classed as unhealthy?

**** knows.
