Food at CP

I dunno, maybe it's the fact that the £ is still relatively strong against the $, but I was was more than happy to pay $5ish for one of those delicious cheese filled pretzels.

It is pricey but it's a theme park. Either take a packed lunch or be prepared to **** multiple pictures of George Washington out of your arse.

It's the same as any other theme park really. I like Midway Market, but like you said, you want to eat light and that is a full blown buffet for like, $13 or so. As for just a basic meal like a hot dog, I'd expect to pay a tenner at the very minimum for any kind of food and drink combination at a park.

I would stick to Panda Express and Chick-Fil-A. The food is good, typically priced for a theme park, but it doesn't make you feel like crap. Whatever you eat, don't go to Pinks. You won't want to ride any rides for the rest of the day.

Chick-fil-A and the Dragon's Inn concession next to Iron Dragon have always been my favorite "bang for your buck" food stalls at CP. In the end though, you are paying way higher for in park food.

Therefore, if dining for cheap is a priority, I recommend heading back to your car, leaving CP, and driving out for a regular priced restaurant. You are allowed one re-entry with paid parking (Platinum Passes have unlimited parking), so you needn't worry about having to pay when trying to park again. For instance there is a McDonalds at the beginning of the causeway, only a matter of minutes from the parking. Driving a bit further to router 250 (the main commercial strip) will lead you to any number of fast food options (now including Chipotle!). Once you're done eating, simply head back to the park!

This is a trick I have used at numerous theme parks, and it usually works fairly well!

^ One thing I'll say to that, though, is that I've noticed that fast food joints located just outside of parks tend to hike their prices. Like, a combo meal at BK will cost something like $7.50 or even $8. Maybe this isn't the case at Cedar Point, I wouldn't know since I haven't tried this there.

^ For Cedar Point and Kings Island, fast food prices are normal, regardless of being located just outside of the gate.
