Yesterday (Sunday) was One Hit Wonder Day & the top 10 list was posted in many papers & mentioned on news shows. Here it is again for those that didn't see it.
#10. Turning Japanese - The Vapors
#9. 96 Tears - ? & the Mysterians
#8. Tubthumping - Chumbawumba
#7. No Rain - Blind Melon
#6. My Sharona - The Knack
#5. Tainted Love - Soft Cell
#4. In a Big Country - Big Country
#3. Spirit in the Sky - Norman Greenbaum
#2. Come on Eileen - Dexy's Midnight Runners
#1. Take On Me - A-ha

I think that MMM, MMM, MMM, MMM by the Crash Test Dummies or I Touch Myself by The Divinyls should be right up there (not that I like those songs or anything). Being of German upbringing I'd also go for 99 Luftballons by Nena.
So what's your favorite & is there one that should really be listed here instead?

I think it's different in the US

Certainly Dexy's Midnight Runners, A-Ha and Soft Cell were all popular for quite a while over here.

My favourite has to be Inside by Stiltskin. It's such a cheesy advert anthem, but I love it anyway :)

Never heard that one before. Don't One Hit Wonders have to be a hit song? :p
I forgot to mention my favs...

Mexican Radio by Wall of Voodoo

Walls Came Down by The Call

I agree with furie, many of those bands had a good run over here, including a-ha which whenever I get something sorted and shout "Aha!" I follow it up with "...are an awesome 80s band".

I bet many of our one hit wonders might have had good runs in the US ;)

I doubt this one will though, which was one which springs straight to mind mainly as I'm listening to it as I type:

Number one in the UK for one week, and for months it was played everywhere

The international divide is going to cause problems with this, I can see it now :p

Crash Test Dummies also had a hit with Afternoons and Coffee Spoons (or whatever it was called) didn't they?

The album that song is from is really fantastic actually, a brilliant album, shame they split up after it...

I have no idea, too young for me tbh! 1993 I think?

Outkast Wiki Page said:
The duo is one of the most successful hip-hop groups of all time, having received six Grammy Awards. Over 25 million copies have been sold of OutKast's eight releases: five studio albums, a greatest hits release, and the Grammy Award-winning (for Album of the Year) Speakerboxxx/The Love Below

Just, look it up...

Hey Ya wasn't even UK number one, and it's far from their only top ten single over here, and not even their highest charting one...

I could be a pretentious twat and say Pachelbel's Canon. Even classical music lovers probably couldn't name many other Pachelbel pieces. Then I remembered that I hate it anyway.

Pretentious twattery out of the way, I'd so far agree with Crash Test Dummies and Nizlopi as favourites. Can't think of others off the top of my head.

'In The Shadows' by The Rasmus. It got played to death on music channels and radio stations in 2004 which made me grow sick of it, but I still think it's awesome when I listen to it now.

I may be wrong, but apart from fans I don't think anyone could really name another one of their songs...

'Monster' by The Automatic springs to mind too.

I've Never Been to Me by Charlene is awesome in its absolute crapness; such a drag queen song.

One that I genuinely love is Ring My Bell:

For some reason this isn't on the Wikipedia list, but it was definitely a number 1 single and Aneka did nothing else after. Probably my favourite one hit wonder. It's actually AMAZING:

This piece of absolute **** is actually quite fab as well:
