Yet more chinese park news. So in the interest of keeping people informed :)

The new Fantawild parks have been popping up about as quickly as the Happy Valley parks. Although they generally dont have the same size budget and use local chinese distributers rather than the big boys such as Vekoma and B&M.

Anyhow this is there 2nd park in the Chinese provinces of Wuhu and it looks pretty well themed so far.

as of yet the coasters are unknown but a picture from the road shows what might be a Vekoma/Loopscrew type ride and the RCDB lists an Inverted of some type

More soon.

Surely they'll have a lawsuit on their hands pretty soon? I dont think they could have made it look any more like a cheap knock off Disneyland paris if they tried..

Eh all Chinese parks seem to have a castle these days :)

Did a bit more searching

^The only way a law suit would ever work would be if the Chinese government gave a flying **** about copyright laws.

They don't.

Do disney even own a right to a castle like that? I mean there are similar castles all over the world and the disney castle itself isnt 100% original being loosely based off of Neuschwanstein Castle. Sure Disney copyrighted the characters and such (and came down hard on the Beijing park last year) but im not sure they can do much about one castle such as this when there are so many.

Anyway u even see disney characters ripped off on carnival rides in the UK. not like its a chinese only thing :p

Plus, Disneyland Paris is a cheap knockoff piece of **** in the first place so they'd just be being hypocrites.

^^ Only the original Sleeping Beauty castles in california/Hong Kong is based off of Neuschwanstein castle. The larger Cinderella castles in florida and Tokyo were based off of a number of different french and spanish castles, such as Château de Pierrefonds and Château d'Ussé.

The newer Sleeping Beauty Castle in DLP has an original design, basing its looks much more in fantasy, due to the imagineers knowing that Europe has many historically beautiful castles, so they wanted to create something unique..

It looks like Fantawild has taken DLP's sleeping beauty castle, cut it up and stuck it back together in a different format.

Not even just the castle though which is clearly copied from Disneyland Paris's.

Even the entrance looks like the Main street USA station.

As for the third picture, if that street and those buildings aren't based on Main Street USA then they are just liars.

Not that is matters or that I care, im just saying that if Disney did want to sue them, I think they would have a pretty good case.

I reckon it looks pretty funny how the roundabout sign in front of the castle just mocks the ambience of the area.

Yeah I was thinking that too. Maybe thats their plan stick a roundabout in front of the castle so it doesn't look too much like Disney.

I was expecting a park themed around the drink 'Fanta', now that would be amazing.

I assume the round about sign is for the construction traffic and will be removed later... although i may be wrong
