OK, I know this is usually a mod's job, but if I stuff in enough thoughts on the subject near the end of this post, I'm sure it'll pass.
Primarily, we're not making fun of Canada, or Canadians in general. It's just that... how do I put it...
This is a coaster enthusiast community. Everyone here likes coasters in some way or another. Of course we want more amusement parks, everywhere, anywhere. Even if Angola got an Intamin Gigacoaster, we'd all bubble with excitement, even though less than a percent of our members would get to ride it. It's part of being an enthusiast, you praise good coasters, even if they're very far away. You might as well have asked "do you like coasters", and mentioned Canada randomly in the sentence.
Which brings us to the next point. Canada mocking because there was nothing else to talk about. Perhaps in a hope that this topic might lead to a enjoyable discussion, no one locked the topic. Of course everyone was going to answer "Yes, sure, why not", or something along these lines, but there might have emerged a fruitional debate, perhaps shedding some light on previously unknown rumours.
However, circumstances didn't want that to happen. Sorry if this is insulting, but what people saw was a badly written post mentioning Canada. And the way you posted, with all-in-all subpar spelling, grammar and random smilies, is the Internet equivalent of a snotty five-year-old asking you about what car you think is the coolest, or a mentally retarded person stating "I like apples". Remember, we can't see you nor hear your voice, so we have to judge you on your spelling, grammar and sentence structure. Which in this case was pretty bad. I'm again sorry if you find this insulting, as I know a lot of people have trouble with dyslexia and such, but again, I can't see you nor hear you and have no way of knowing that in advance. Lastly, your signature has misspelled "Montu" and "it's". A few majuscles would also help.
And yeah, I admit, the rules on this forum is pretty harsh, making everyone looking even more like noobs than they'd normally do when they sign up. We're all used to strict grammar enforcement, and as society has developed, the ones standing out like "the stupid", will always attract jokes on their behalf. Try improving a few things, and you'll be welcomed with open arms.
Last, I don't think Canada has too few parks. But a few nice new coasters would have been fine, they lack a solid wood coaster (despite containing all that forest, they don't have much good in wood), and a multilooper or two. With Canada's Wonderland gaining increased attendance (and thus, cash flow) with Behemoth, I really hope a new addition is in the planning. And there may be reasons to hope too...
