Do you ride kiddie coasters? By kiddie I dont mean family coasters like Ben 10 at Drayton Manor, Runaway Mine Train at Alton Towers or even as small as Vekoma roller skaters, Im talking about the really small coasters designed for toddlers like Cocoa Cruiser at Hershey or Clarence the Clown Coaster at Wicksteed, ones where you get judged by parents if you're on your own.

I have a pretty small count so I guess I could use more creds but they don't really matter to me. I remember riding Flying Fish for the +1 but it was so boring and I didn't get much satisfaction from it. I did get satisfaction from riding Blue Streak at Blackpool however only because its one of those ACE classic coasters!

I'll always ride tame family coasters because they can be brilliant in their own way but for the really tiny kiddie coasters that do **** all, I'll pass! I dont care enough about my count and I'd rather ride something interesting or exciting.

I ride them once for the +1. Any kiddie that I'm allowed to ride. It satisfies me to have the complete 100% at a park, instead of having like 6 out of 7 creds. I'm a completionist.

Lol. I suppose if you're in a large group it'll be fun, but if it's just you then i'd find it humiliating. One of those what-has-my-life-come-to moments. I can't imagine what it'll be to then get turned down in front of everyone.

Only during CF-Lives. I've even make Ian ride by himself when we go on trips together. :p

Yes for the credits. I chose the first option because it's unlikely that there would be any long wait anyway. :p

I agree with Thom 100% I feel I need to complete the park. I have a word document of what parks I have completed and what ones I need to complete. It was such a great feeling finally completing Compounce and CP so far this year.

But to answer the question, I absolutely ride kiddie coasters. They are still coasters at the end of the day.

No because I'm not a whore. Now if I'm with a child I will ride it (as in my niece or nephew, friends kid, etc) but I'd rather ride something I enjoy.

In the past I used to ride any I was allowed on, but now I generally pass on them. Only if I'm in a group that wants to seems to be the only time I do these days.

I used to not care about them at all before I came to Coasterforce. Once I got on here I started riding them, but if they have a line or are in general difficult to get, I skip them.

I do if I'm allowed but like, not gunna ask permission for a Go Gator or anything.

+1

Though on a recent visit to Clarence Pier I was denied the kiddie cred there by the burdenous operator man, even though there were zero rules on no adults allowed... Went to the token box man and he took us to it, the loss of dignity with it when he asked which coaster group we were from as if it's a common thing

^Lol, I swear that guy just denies people to make a point, surely it's happened enough times by now for him to realise creds are a thing?

I do, but there are situations where I feel more comfortable doing it and they'll only ever get done once for the +1.

In Asia I don't feel self conscious about it as you'll often see older people on kiddy coasters, especially in places where coasters are few and far between. I'm thinking of crappy shopping mall coasters in places like Indonesia and The Philippines for example.

I will try and walk on to stuff that may be adult with kid only, and often get "lucky" with them when ride ops either just don't care or assume you're with other people. I find that if you ask, the ride op is more likely to actually follow the rules since you're making it obvious.

I won't argue the point if I get refused or bother with kiddy coasters that I know for a fact I won't get on though. I also won't "borrow" strangers' kids.

The whole "I'd prefer to spend the time on something better" argument is mostly crap since kiddy coasters usually have little to no queue anyway and take no time out of your day.

Was it the rather large man? His face was not happy upon our return armed with a manager type person that's for sure...

No.

The last time I rode a kiddie cred was... well, when I was a kiddie. For me, this isn't a numbers game. Yes, I could jump in the car on any given weekend and go get 20 or 30 new creds, but they'd all be tin-pot little wacky worms and go-gators. Maybe a mouse if I'm lucky.
What's the point? Can't see any fun in that. Especially if I was travelling solo. 40 year old bloke riding a wacky worm on his own? Nah. I'd be branded a paedo in no time.
I'm a goon, not a cred whore. I want my count to be filled with X2's and Tatsu's, Leviathans and Intimidators, Kingda Ka's and El Toro's, not mini-mine trains and big apples.

At the moment, I'd take one Rocky Mountain cred over a 100 wacky worms.

<3 +1's <3
Gotta ride the kiddie coasters! I won't wait for them but if parks let adults on them and I can just walk over and get my ride, I will. That being said, I have skipped some and if parks are busy I'd rather spend my time at worthwhile rides... and if I end up missing a kiddie here or there, I don't really care.

For what its worth bott my 300th and 500th coasters were kiddies just by chance.

Completely agree. I love coasters, but that doesn't mean I have to love all coasters. It's just not particularly fun going on tiny crap rides. I can completely understand the "collecting" aspect of cred whoring, but it's not for me. Plus I do a lot of international parks as day trips so there often isn't enough time for the kiddie rides.

I'll sometimes ride a kiddy cred if I've bought half price tokens or something (or if I'm with a group), but don't get too upset about missing them (other than the spites on Rye's kiddy coaster and turbulencia at parque attractions in madrid)
