CWoA Erection

Honestly, was I the only one seeing:

"They've put in a planning app for "An erection themed water feature within the 22 acre field" "
The first time reading it through?

LOL! I bet that sex park in Japan or wherever it is has got one :)

Anyway, yes, crap topic, I know.... but it reminds me of an interesting point. Back in March, didn't they say to us to expect a big announcement in 15 weeks.... or something? If that is what was said (which'll be a miracle because my memory is rubbish)... then, by my calculations, that date has well and truely been and gone.

I recently spoke to Maria about GhosterForce and questioned that myself. She said it must be something to do with Wanyama Village & Reserve and would have updated me if there were any new projects in the pipeline.

And yes, Poke, I also read that as a boner themed water feature. I wonder where the water will squirt from?

I'm assuming this is going on the field that runs along side Dragon's Fury?

No, from the looks of past planning apps the "22 acre field" is the Savanah area.

Alright, smartypants. Last time I show an interest in your penis related topics.

Shhh! :P

I'm not convinced it was something to do with Wanyama. Craig made it sound like it was going to be something big and exciting... not a fountain. Unless he's changed his surname to Thompson?

I have to admit to some skepticism when I read her reply. However, their enthusiasm for the park is immense so he could have "done a Thompson".

Could a not just be a lake or sort of drinking hole for the reserve? And the theming is new animals that live in the water?

Just a thought.

^Yeah, I'd go with the whole "it's for a new type of animal" or new lake etc for the animals to drink from.

If it's a new animal that lives in water then I'm very excited as that could potentially means hippos, and they are cool.

Somehow I don't think you'd get away with passing off animals on a planning application as "theming". I'm guessing it's going to be some kind of "watering hole" type affair with associated planing and maybe some signs or something. It's benefit the animals they currently have, and will help increase the options of animals they could get in the future. However, remember there's only a limited number of stables, and aren't they all full already? I wouldn't go getting too excited.

But anyway, yeah, so I decided to check the planning app website on realising that it must've been about now we were previously promised an announcement. That's when I found the water feature application. However, it then had the result of me trawling through past applications that they've made over they years. It was quite interesting. Because I haven't followed this kind of thing for very long, there was a lot of stuff I didn't know about. Like the whole Beach area, and the withdrawn application for a kids' coaster in Beanoland.

I need to get out more.

^I never heard about the Beanoland coaster but I'd heard about the beach and the arena behind Beanoland.

There are tonnes of things the park has to put planning applications in for so I'm not surprised you found quite a lot.

You're probably right that it's nothing to get too excited about, however any addition at Chessie is a good addition in my opinion :P

So glad the beach and arena didn't get permission or cancelled...

This... Dunno what to think tbh... Not much in the way of details so it could be anywhere in the park...

But it's likely to be done for safari expansion... The term water feature is rather ambigious so it really could be anything...

Firstly, from what I can see the Beach DID get permission. The application was not withdrawn. Guess they just decided not to bother.

Secondly, it can't be "anywhere in the park" because it clearly states that it's in "The 22 acre field". The "22 acre field" is the safari area which includes the new savannah area. Just have a look at any of the older planning apps which have maps in them, and you'll see this area clearly labelled as "the 22 acre field".

I still vote watering hole.

It does sound like something Safari related. I think Nic is right. There is a rumour floating about regarding Toy Town leaving, but I don't think this has anything to do with it.

The redevelopment of Toy Town was part of their long term plan.

Personally, I just think it's unfortunate this topic and the naked rollercoasting topic are at the top of the page :P

When I pointed to that god awful pond thing and said "that's gotta go!", the answer I got was "2011", which I took as being part of the toy town redevelopment. Instead we get another water feature ;) Fingers crossed they've still got something up their sleeves but are just keeping quiet about it. Hmmmm, well, I can hope.
