Coasters in Midwest USA during Polar Vortex

Does anyone heard or got any pictures of the coasters in the US Midwest & Eastern area's suffering from the extreme cold of the "polar vortex"

I actually think those Kings Island Banshee photos may have been taken before our low temps.

When you are faced with -30 degrees Fahrenheit windchill, walking two blocks is difficult enough, let alone traversing parks. It is actually very dangerous.

Here in Ohio, everything was simply very cold. No cool snow, no fun ice effects (that happens closer to 32 degrees Fahrenheit), just utter, blistering cold.

Today it is 9 degrees Fahrenheit - a whole 20 degrees warmer than it was yesterday!

Yeah, it took me 45 minutes to get my car driveable the other day, people were preparing for the zombie apocalypse at the store where I work, and being outside or anywhere near a window was unbearable, but it isn't the "Ohio ice age" I think people are making it out to be. No snow, no ice, just a bit of rain before the temperatures dropped to the point of being miserable. Really doubt it made any parks look different than they normally would in the winter, as nothing else was ever visually different even on Monday when it was the worst, at least here in Dayton.

This is about as good as you'll get:

All the roller coasters are too far inland for any cool ice like that.

Are there any pictures of Cedar Point? Surely there's SOMETHING cool there. If not, they should aim fire hoses at GateKeeper's keyholes. Just because it would look cool. :p That, and maybe Indiana Beach could look nice in the vortex.

^Did you read what any of the Americans posted? All you'd see is some cold Indianans stood next to a coaster.

Well considering that I AM an American that posted here, yeah, I did.

Basically, based on what I understand, those ice effects tend to happen either A. Near bodies of water B. Where a heated interior meets the exterior (there's all sorts of icy door pictures on my Facebook currently) or C. Closer to the freezing point. I didn't say there HAD to be something there, I'm saying if there are any parks where it'll happen, it's those two. Particularly Cedar Point, lake effect can make things get WEIRD up there sometimes.

^ As it turns out, Cedar Point (and Sandusky) does not see lake effect snow. Lake effect kicks in once you reach the east side of Cleveland, as up until then there is natural land cover for much of the lake Erie shoreline.

I was out on the Chaussee to see friends while I was home during Christmas, and made a pass across the causeway. It was just very cold.

Yeah well it was 80F here...6 months ago >.<

I bet, although its 80F, thats cold for where you are? XD Struggling above 32F in England. I want to emigrate.

It gets chilly because of the wind sometimes here. :p The coldest it has been here was up in the mountains of the island 39 °F in 1911. Sometimes I want for it to snow here.
