Never thought I see the two different chains working together, but then one should never say never. Need I say more?
It is no secret that Virginia is for lovers®, but Virginia is also for thrill lovers. In celebration of their 40th anniversaries, Busch Gardens® and Kings Dominion have declared the Richmond/Williamsburg region as Virginia's Gateway to Family Thrills. From battlefields to memorials and wineries to theme parks, the Richmond/Williamsburg corridor offers fun for all ages. Take a daytrip and explore the area, ride a coaster, dine on delicious food, and experience Virginia's thrilling theme park destination.
The Gateway to Family Thrills offers nearly 600 acres of rides, shows and attractions. Featuring 21 roller coasters, including Intimidator-305, one of the world's tallest and fastest giga-coasters, and TempestoTM, Busch Gardens' thrilling new launch coaster, there's no shortage of opportunities for adrenaline junkies to test their bravery. The area boasts three kid zones, highlighting more than 20 rides designed for families to enjoy together. Cool off during the heat of summer with 63 acres of water parks, including Soak City at King's Dominion and Water Country USA® in Williamsburg, Virginia.
The parks will offer two discount ticket options to showcase this region of Virginia as a family-friendly theme park destination. The Virginia Thrills Ticket is valid for one single-day admission each to Busch Gardens® and Kings Dominion within seven consecutive days. Or enjoy all of the benefits of the Virginia Thrills Ticket, plus the chilling water rides and kid-sized slides of Soak City and Water Country USA®. The Virginia Thrills Ticket Plus is valid for two single-day admissions to Busch Gardens and/or Water Country USA and two single-day admissions to Kings Dominion and/or Soak City within seven consecutive days. Make this summer one to remember at this vacation destination for fun and thrills.

Busch Gardens is a SeaWorld Entertainment park.
SeaWorld Entertainment isn't doing well financially.
Cedar Fair is doing well financially.
Cedar Fair and SeaWorld Entertainment are partnering.
Imperialism is a thing.
Cedar Fair is larger than SeaWorld Entertainment.

Is it that strange though?

In SoCal you can get that City pass for SW, Disney, Universal and Lego Land.

Similarly in Orlando there's the pass for SW, Universal and BGT.
