Varying opinions, what are the best and worst launched coasters?
Revenge of the Mummy, USF (best)
Kingda Ka- it's very short and shaky, but is still a decent ride

Best - Hulk
Worst - Baco *shudders just remembering*

But if you are talking about the launch itself:
Best - Anubis/Stealth
Worst - Rita

Yep, is this about the ride or the launch?

There's a massive difference in the quality and variety of actual rides; but in terms of launches, some dreadful rides have fantastic launches, some poor launches head into fantastic rides.

If it's overall rides, then you may as well just ask "best and worst steel coaster", because having a launch on the front (or middle, or end) doesn't really narrow the field down in terms of discussion very much.

If it's just the launch then Stealth and Anubis are the best, for me. If it's the coaster then Blue Fire, BUT it has a terrible launch with little to nothing to it. More of a cough than a launch, but the coaster after the turnaround is SUPERB!

For worst launch I'd say Revolution at Blackpool. It's an evil tea tray that pushes you down a hill (barely). As far as actual coaster goes, I'd say either Baco or Revolution again.

For some reason I really like the launch of Blue Fire, and prefer it above Anubis any day. But I did rode Anubis over a hundred times now, maybe I'm just getting used to the launch.

The best launches for me or Dessert Race and Blue Fire, worst Launch Rock 'n' Roller coaster. Lame launch, lame coaster, I don't see why everyone loves it :(.

Good call! such a boring coaster from start to finish.

Best launch has to be Baco. Worst launch (actually worse that R'n'RC) is Kanonen. Weak launch into what feels like brakes.

Best launch "coaster", probably Blue Fire, but I love Revolution at Blackpool and Speed Monster (well, the Norwegian loop <3 ).

Worst "coaster" is undoubtedly Baco. Just hurry up and melt it down already!

The best launch for me is still Stealth, gets me right in the gut every time! Anubis was a really fun and rerideable and another mention goes to Shock at Rainbow Magic Land.

I think the worst is probably Space Mountain Mission 2 for me.

I loved the Launch at SM2 :D. It's like, getting really fast, Losing all your speed and than randomly airtime and onther random fast bit. Hard to explain for me, but IMO Space Mountain is the best coaster of the whole Disney resort in France- but I can see why not everyone agrees :D.

No, both the. Launch and the ride

If we are talking just the launch, then nothing prepared me for kingda ka, front row, on the live last year - so I'd say that was #1

That definitely gets the award for most pointless launch. It's not particularly quick anyway, then by the time it crests the top of the hill it's so slow you think you're going to roll back. Utter merde.

I also agree with everything else Jordan said. Stealth <3 Anubis <3 Shock <3

When it went forwards, Superman: The Escape was also dreadful. The launch was so slow and went on for so long, it just didn't have any punch to it at all. I think that's actually probably the single most disappointing coaster experience I've ever had. Fortunately, the simple act of turning the cars backwards has made the whole thing 100 times more entertaining, although I think that's mainly because coming back down the tower face first is fantastic.

Nooooo, the launch is just......the biggest lacklustre fart of a launch, and then it loses what little oomph it has as it crests the hill, piddles over the top and then rolls into a big fat kak piece of kak rollercoaster </3
