Do you say b-ah-th or b-ar-th?
Gr-ah-ss or Gr-ar-ss
Or...
Scarf or scahf?

I say bath and grass the 'ah' way, and scarf the normal way.

(WHY DO PEOPLE SAY SCARF AS SCAHF, IT HAS AN R IN IT!!!!)

I like in the snowy mountains of the North East. I pronounce my Th's, I say the A in worls like Grass and Bath like you would say Ass for a donkey or like in Scaffolding and not the rolly are way like Arse.

Also, Who the **** pronounce Scarf like that?

The poll should say "Do you have a Boston MA accent"

Yeah, but most of the regulars on here are British and wouldn't know what that sounds like.

Bath and scarf, so they rhyme.

Yes, I know, I was thin back then. Looked like I had cancer.

Bath and scarf don't rhyme for me :P

That's because they don't, bath is missing an R. So it's bath, no R and definitely no F. Though I have the left overs of a hideous mix of Lancastrian-Scouse to overcome and can't say "air", so I'm not going to harp on about diction too much really

Ian's video. <3

So, is it just South East England that puts the r sound in bath?

I thought it was an Americanism we used down here, much like dinner instead of tea, but after interrogating Kyle I found it was not.

Just out of interest, for those of you who get drunk and got to the barfroom, how do you pronounce the following?
Wrath, brass, band, brand, and demand...

Oh, and for those of us who have baths or baffs, how do you say father?

^ Dad. ;)

I speak almost entirely in a "well-to-do" manner, but when it comes to my vowels they're hard... Damned mother!

Bad, skjerf, gress.

When saying the words in English, though... I don't think this alphabet has letters enough to describe those sounds.
