So Bagatelle is celebrating it's 60th birthday next year, and apparently they have a "big surprise" for us!

I've been keeping an eye on this myself, the countdown inside the park makes it sound like something big is coming but if that was the case there would already be construction. I'm intrigued and although I hope for something good it could be just a collection of small family attractions.

The park finally announced today what they will be adding this year. To celebrate 60 years of operations they are adding a small "designed for kids" rollercoaster (so a go gator or something similar?), chairswing and a retheme of their spinning rollercoaster (no word on whether those swinging cars will be introduced for good) but the park did say the following on their Facebook page...

reworked with passages in the dark and special effects to take your breath away!

The retheme of their spinning coaster actually looks good and maybe a sign for the future of the park?...

That's some nice art! Is this park currently a bit of a dump then?

^ Yes and no. I quite like Bagatelle, it has some nice areas but a lot f it seems unfinished. I think if they added just a couple more shrubs or painted a wall here or there it would improve ten fold. There's something about the planning of the park that makes me think they don't truly understand the visitor experience.

And in other good news, it turns out that the cred is a Big Apple, not a Go-Gator! Phew!
