Dynamic Structures have announced that they've won a contract worth more than $30 million. They will build a major ride for "one of the leading amusement park owners in the United States" over the next two years.
The company is responsible for a range of engineering projects from bridges to observatories, but also produces motion theatres and trackless dark rides. They have also teamed up with RoboCoaster to offer the design and manufacture of robot arm creds.
It's sister company, Dynamic Attractions makes similar rides, and also fabricates coaster track. They've previously worked with big names in the industry, including Disney and Universal, and have found success in Asia. When started, Dynamic Attractions was led by founder of Premier Rides, Peter Schnabel assisted by former Senior Vice President of Engineering for Six Flags, Harold Hudson.

Any ideas what this is likely to be, or where its going to end up? $30m would be a very significant investment for a single ride, so would surely be destined for one of the larger parks. Although I do wonder if this actually represents a number of smaller rides to be rolled out to several parks across a chain? Ideas? Guesses? Rumours? Hopes?
