I’m questioning if I’m a real coaster enthusiast or not

Everyone's going to have a differing opinion on whether a high credit count is required to be considered a coaster enthusiast. But, if you genuinely enjoy roller coasters, I think you are a coaster enthusiast. If people can admire expensive cars without ever haven driven them, I think by all...

US Election; what are your thoughts?

Abortion is murder. Any way you look at it. I couldn't sleep if I voted for a president that is pro-choice. I'm sorry if you disagree, but my heart tells me those "fetuses" are humans that deserve a chance to live. Only 1% of aborted pregnancies are from r*pe. I'm prepared to be cancelled...

SeaWorld San Diego planning new 2025/26 coaster?

Gosh dang it, I thought something like that would happen to Jewels of the Sea. But the Atlantis update is exciting. I'll be visiting the park sometime in December. If I take some photos of the construction I'll share it here.

How much does a rattle affect your enjoyment of a coaster?

The thing is, I've never been able to discern a rattle on steel coasters. And I absolutely love San Diego's Big Dipper, which is a notoriously rough woodie, so I think it's safe to say rattles don't bother me XD

    Your worst spite

I can probably guess that you flew all the way to Japan for that, huh? I'm sorry dude, that sucks.

    Your worst spite

I have been waiting my entire life to tell this story. Probably about 9 years ago, me and my family drove up from San Diego to Simi valley so I could visit Six Flags Magic Mountain for the first time. We were driving to the ticket kiosks when I was unceremoniously informed by my family that the...

Dollywood building a new indoor coaster in Wildwood Grove for 2025?

Okay, this is interesting. I doubt they're going to add a space mountain style indoor roller coaster, so it's very likely this will be an indoor Mack powered coaster.

Dollywood building a new indoor coaster in Wildwood Grove for 2025?

I'm not sure if it's going to be an indoor coaster. Honestly, I hope it's a slow-moving darkride themed to the "big bear"

Waffles & Weissbier Wanderlust - Day 9: Phantasialand & Local German Fair

Man, the architecture is sublime. You don't see streets or buildings designed like that in America. I'm glad you can indulge your wanderlust bug!

Why do you love roller coasters?

I'm genuinely curious if roller coasters were just the third member of the racecar/dinosaur-phase that we all went through, or, if there's a more specific reason for why we all love roller coasters. For me, I think it started when my older sister would take me down to Belmont Park in San Diego...

SeaWorld San Diego planning new 2025/26 coaster?

Does anyone know when the Jewels Of The Sea exhibit is going to open? The only thing posted on the construction walls was "opening 2024".

SeaWorld San Diego planning new 2025/26 coaster?

Once the orcas die out and their stadiums are torn down that opens up a large amount of land for a station and queue. That's the only way I could see Seaworld putting a ride over the entrance. Unless they managed to convince the city of San Diego to re-zone the parking lot for amusement rides...

SeaWorld San Diego planning new 2025/26 coaster?

Turns out the land behind Emperor is perfect for the surf coaster. The land runs right along the bay, so the coaster could have some cool interactions with the water.

What have you learned in your years as an enthusiast?

Value parks that make you feel relaxed. Sometimes we forget that parks are supposed to provide an enjoyable experience, not one spent rushing from ride to ride. I know it's gonna sound crazy, but some local parks beckon you to just exist. And it's a sensation that I've never felt before or never...

SeaWorld San Diego planning new 2025/26 coaster?

What I'm wrestling with is where they could fit a B&M surf coaster. You could argue that the parking lot behind Emperor would be suitable but a surf coaster lends itself to be closer to the water. I'm going to do some scouting on google maps and try to speculate on the most likely location for it.
