    New attractions at Paultons Park

I'd say that with that model, it could still be a 1.2m height restriction. The 1m height restriction is likely a bare minimum and the more intense coasters would be a 1.2m.

    Fantasiana | Helios | Mack Stryker Coaster | 2025

Looks like it's officially a Big Dipper RCDB has put it down as a Big Dipper instead of a Stryker https://rcdb.com/19395.htm

    New attractions at Paultons Park

Nothing has been announced either way. The idea of a water coaster going where the Go Karts and opening a year later is just rumours as of right now. The footers as of right now appears to be that of a water ride of some form but it could be anything. It could possibly be a coaster although I...

Oakwood closes its doors, cites financial difficulties

I don't think Oakwood is going to be sold as an amusement park as it is because the park is getting asset stripped. I'd love Compagnie des Alpes to buy a UK park admittedly or even Herschend. Paultons Park and Blackpool Pleasure Beach both seem to be good candidates for Herschend to enter the...

    New attractions at Paultons Park

There has been a lot of speculation about a water coaster (allegedly from Mack) on the Go Karts site however it's unconfirmed as of right now. It'd be crazy to hear of Paultons adding a looping (and possibly launch) coaster followed by a water coaster the following year. I'm sceptical but if...

    New rides @ small parks

There was a log flume at Dreamland that was in storage that never got used at Dreamland and was sold on. This came from Bulgaria. https://www.kentonline.co.uk/thanet/news/dreamland-to-auction-log-flume-91263/ The New for 2025 Log Flume is a different one and is none other than Raging River...

    New attractions at Paultons Park

In that first photo, this dug up section looks a lot like a course of a water ride like a flume, water coaster or a shoot the chute 🤔 It could be that the two rides they're opening is a coaster and a water ride which could explain why there is only 2 mentioned on that memo posted earlier in...

    New attractions at Paultons Park

I don't think that's been confirmed either way other than a reasonable guess. There is every chance it could be 1.3m which is still very good for a thrill coaster that appeals to all ages. As @Coaster Cam has said, we don't even know what rides are going to be in the area yet.

Small News From The Theme Park Industry

Good points which explain the difference why Vekoma and Intamin has different requirements. I've noticed that with Tron, that's a similar restraint style to the Vekoma ones however it has a 1.22m/48 inch height requirement. I'm assuming this is new technology that has something to do with it.

Small News From The Theme Park Industry

I honestly wonder that in terms of the 1.4m height requirement too. This looks like a 1.2m ride to me and that's what Juvelen has (the Intamin equivalent).

Chessington World of Adventures holding public consultation regarding “current proposals and new developments” - potential new attraction?

    WTF Merlin?

That's some wally suggesting to Google that it's permanently closed when it's actually temporarily closed. I have suggested edits and Google still seems to not accept that it's not permanently closed. I wonder if Thorpe Park have actually noticed.

    Lightwater Valley - Future?

I think what will end up affecting them the most is their decisions. They're not really smart decisions going forward either for the family or thrill markets. Whilst a Zyklon would've been a smart move, it likely wasn't the smart move picking up one that was rumoured to be condemned at their...

    Lightwater Valley - Future?

I wonder what the impact of Eagle's Claw leaving the park will have. The pessimist in me is thinking they're in danger and could be the next park to close in the UK. I'd certainly imagine rides like Powder Kegs and Flying Cutlass will end up going elsewhere in the coming seasons with less...

    Your Least Common Opinion?

Another one, Saw the Ride at Thorpe Park is as Family-Thrill as Rage at Adventure Island and Speed, recently, at Oakwood. It should have a 1.2m (or 1.25m) height restriction but it's 1.4m either due to the IP or to maintain the 1.4m status quo for thrill rides at the time of opening.

    New attractions at Paultons Park

I wonder what ride this will be. - considering it's not explicitly a coaster, it could be a flat. I have a feeling it's one of those new Intamin Family Thrill LSM launches although there's other rides that could fit this such as a full scale S&S Axis.

    Lightwater Valley - Future?

For the last few seasons, it tends to be a few different things but not always rides. I think they should update their website soon so we'll know more. They're opening soon?

    Gardaland | Animal Treasure Island | I Corsari Retheme | 2025

There is a staff car park behind Munity Bay next to Sharkbait Reef which could be space for a Piraten in Batavia style dark ride themed to the new IP they're putting in Gardaland.

Oakwood closes its doors, cites financial difficulties

I'm thinking that the decision may have already been made at that point and it hasn't been announced yet.

Oakwood closes its doors, cites financial difficulties

Really sad to hear the news of Oakwood closing. It's a shame we'll be losing the likes of Megafobia and Speed. I've just saw their statement and it seems like we've found our answers on where the rides will likely be going. "Unfortunately, we could no longer see a sustainable way forward and...
