I was planning on getting to this as soon as the rumors started going around it would close (I typically trust ElToro Ryan), but the soonest I could plan was next weekend. Literally missed it by weeks.
Excuse my language, but this is f***ing bullsh*t from the park, the PR department, and the...
That pic shared by @MLDesigns is one of the things I am most concerned about regarding this ride...look at how dusty it is out there!
Other people itt have brought up the feasibility of having a ride such as this withstanding the test of time, and I just can't imagine how long this ride will...
Looks awesome! And sooo smooth!
...my only complaints...as typical with these types of coasters with spikes...just wish it went a liiiiiiittle higher. Also, the capacity is going to be *rough*.
One of my favorite things about Mr Freeze is the additional magnets at the top of the spike to get...
Welp, practically everyone in the coaster community waved red flags when Zamperla was announced for this, and it seems they were right. The only folks clueless enough to select Zamperla for something of this magnitude was Cedar Fair.
Don't know why they're even trusting at this point that the...
LOL could you imagine Six Flags actually developing a park from scratch ON ITS OWN these days?!?!
It's be a disaster with a never ending sea of concrete.
I think any park would be lucky to get a coaster like this. I love the interaction throughout the park, kind of takes a tour around the area.
But I will say...can we get some variety as far as the inversion are concerned? Maybe a vertical loop for chrissake? I mean the roll inversions are...
CoasterForce always coming through with the BEST POV's!
Also...it's amazing how such little simple things elevate a coaster so much. Like that entrance with the waterfall, the rocks, the shrubbery, no metal poles for the queue...it looks great!
Welp...didn't want to be in this boat, and didn't expect this to happen, but I'm going to be in Michigan the 2nd week in September...so now I'm crossing my fingers that they're still working on getting this thing opened before the season comes to an end.
We wanted to go to Kings Island but...
I didn't mean to be confusing about the "home park" thing. I think I can explain:
And this is just what I know from experience about having a Six Flags pass: I believe whatever park you purchase the pass from becomes essentially your "Home" park. When you purchase a pass you have to pick a...
So I'm one of those people that bought the SF Diamond Membership pass a couple years ago...it's a monthly charge, but it's gotten me into a bunch of Six Flags Parks with Free Parking for years so I've really felt like it's been worth it.
I wonder if that's something that will be discontinued...
Don't question your sanity, I'm in your boat...lap bar or shoulder bar...motors actively forcing the swing or not...
This is still a spinning swing, and for me, ride it once and you never really need to ride it again...
But, but! Apparently...
Yeah...we're over 2 months into the closure with absolutely NO communication from the park whatsoever.
Unless we get word by the beginning of August, and as much as Cedar Point doesn't want to admit it, I would suspect this will probably not open through the rest of...
How bizarre.
What could they possibly doing there that would warrant scaffolding and covering? Especially considering, aren't both spikes gone right now?
Don't think I've ever seen Knott's do such a thing, nonetheless Cedar Fair?
Oh, also @CallahanChan thanks for the pics! Nice to get some...
There's no way it's rust, just a reaction/discoloration from the water. Not going to affect structure of the track at all.
Just someone being overdramatic on X *shocking* I know...
If Diamondback wasn't painted red, but white, it would probably look exactly the same. Maybe a bit different...
Gotta say, after seeing the last POV this ride looks pretty sweet. I never realized how the gold track color change blends into the ground, essentially making it look like the track stops as you're heading to the ground! Only thing missing seems to *maybe* 1 more airtime hill or a helix before...
Over 3 weeks with no update from the park is quite surprising to me, and semi-starting to worry me.
Not to mention, haven't seen any kind of info on my typical coaster sites mentioning movement around the ride, or even maybe random testing.
Am I missing something or has there been absolutely...
