If they had replaced all the track including the lift, brakes and station then I would have. Similar to removing a worm and putting a brand spanking new one in.
Anyway, people can count it if they want, but I shall be gazing down from my ivory tower ;)
I think it will be similar to Hulk where there is no extra cred, and it automatically ticks if you rode the original, marking it as ridden in another location.
Plus, RCDB only shows the one ride, so no extra cred for me.
The original seats on Skyrush were painful yes, but the ride is still in my top 5 even so. I do see the point that others make about it though, so your 2nd poll in a few years will heavily weight at the top end, hopefully with the people who really dislike the ride being significantly fewer...
Assuming rolling launch the lack of a MCBR isn't a huge deal, I expect it will be a sub 60 second ride so will hit the final brakes around the time of the next dispatch anyway.
Looks good though. @chainedbanana saw something that Vekoma teased which looks eerily similar to this.
This is incredibly exciting, at least for me.
It's already a world class coaster, and after plenty of rides I found a position which negated the pain caused by the old restraints. Being able to ride it without having to position specifically is only a good thing.
Might make the queues longer is...
Most of my top 20 needed multiple rides to put them where they are. There's certain rides like the Intamin and Mack launchers which really need to warm up first.
So the obvious ones are;
Taron
Helix
Batman Gotham City Escape
Toutatis
Then there's the wacky one - Ride to Happiness - which needs...
Harsh, was a good cred but we were dying in the heat. Shame we couldn't physically manage a re-ride.
Hopefully Thunderhead is as good as the first time I rode it, that's a top tier GCI, so should get up high in your list.
So just lift hill, first drop and the turnaround to be linked now then?
If they get it all in within the next couple of weeks then maybe a March opening but looking more like April now.
You forgot Skyrush.
If you like it then you will LOVE it. But if you're a baby then it will sit somewhere in your 30-50.
Realistically I can see Ride to Happiness and Arieforce 1 having a genuine chance of getting in my top 10. There's quite a few other notable rides but I have high hopes for...
A Hagrid's based on Raccoon City during that part of the franchise would be absolutely epic.
Lickers and Tyrant in the first section with an exploding effect into a reverse launch.
G versions and dogs in the Police Station in the second section
Nemesis flame thrower finale
I generally avoid any youtuber/social media's opinions on parks, they are never objective.
Usually the good people on here are more honest about their reviews, taking time to ride it in multiple seats and don't just say how they feel 3 seconds after getting off.
It's a shame about Icon, I...
New ride syndrome combined with the social media hype and arse licking aimed at Thorpe will be unbearable in the first couple of weeks. I'll be avoiding reviews for a while I think.
Nemesis has the perfect flow to it, I think Hyperia will be more of a Goliath(SFGAm) vibe where the elements are...
I do think that only including the top 10 knocks a lot of really good rides out nowadays.
Anyone with a cred count in the multi-hundreds probably has a bunch of excellent coasters in their 11-20, and from what I can see, this is where most of the 2023 coasters are getting ranked.
It's a shame...
