Been to BPB today, here's here's quick update.
One train from the Big One, and Avalanche is on the car park, joined by two trains from the Grand National and Big Dipper
Rain forest rescue is back open, Taxi Spin is now closed with all cars removed.
No update on the Dodgems, Impossible also...
Evening guys, I know this is a controversial one, but there are still some of us who enjoy the National and hold it in high regard. Anyway its down for the foreseeable future due to the lift hill chain snapping, rumours suggesting it's caused some damage to the structure beneath the affected...
For a guy who claims to be a fan of traditional coasters over gimmicks, its odd I find myself saying Stealth followed by Rita here.
That said, Thirteen has a nice trick to it with the drop track but the coaster section is far too short and trimmed to hell, I am yet to ride Sik and have no plans...
Grand National any day. Its an absolutely brilliant ride, fun, fast and packed with airtime, the racing element adds even more to a truly incredible coaster.
The battle for second place for me is a tough one, with the Streak and Dipper interchanging often, both are fun with decent pops of...
UK theme parks Facebook page are reported working currently on the Iceblast ride. It's not clear from their pictures if it's removal or actual maintenance but activities are taking place.
BPB pass holder since they came out, but for one year when I disagreed with the directions the park was going.
Visit once a month....maybe, massively down on its hay day when I was there every weekend but it still despite its faults represents good value and a fun day out, and while it has the...
Grand National in the late 80s. Trains that suited the ride, lap bars that didn't crush your legs. Airtime on every single drop, double drop and at the top of every hill.
Absolutely the best, it's just a shame it's such an ordeal to get that same standard of ride with the current trains.
Big...
I cant say this would have been my first choice either, however on the back of recent years and 3 additional closed rides and ludicrous capacity cuts this year I will take just about any investment at this stage.
I give it 3 years before it's down to one operator to check and recheck each seat...
Somewhat biased maybe, but BPB is my shout.
It has the perfect junior coaster in Blue Flyer, not a standard steel layout but a small scale woodie, earthy enough to get you used to what's following.
Next up, Avalanche, fast thrilling and a lot of fun, followed by Steeplechase, a relatively tame...
Vape seems to be the primary suspect from what I'm gathering. Pointless fashion accessories, they should be banned. See far more underage/inconsiderate people armed with them than you do actually cigs these days.
Blackpool for me, like the freedom and ease that comes with being able to arrive at anytime, not particularly need to run around a huge park, have plenty of beers along the way and stay a little longer than most other parks, though that last point doesn't seem to be the case anymore.
I also am...
I believe under 2 goes free, but I'd check the official website before taking my word for it.
Also check height restrictions, as some still have a minimum restriction even if accompanied by a adult.
One final point, don't build yours hopes up for the River Caves, it operated on opening...
Probably Rock n Rollercoaster at Hollywood Studios.
A tough question actually, there are many rides I rate highly, and plenty I'd love to get back on, I know I had re-rides on Montu so that takes that out of the equation, Kumba was closed.
Kraken is a possible too, after 3 visits to Seaworld...
Recently, Stuntfall at PW. There is something about that reverse vertical spike where you are forced to fall into the restraints thats somewhat unnerving! Absolutely love it though!
As a child, the RollerCoaster at BPB (or Nick Streak as some of you call it) before I realised it was designed to...
Personally I will believe it when I see it, the same goes for Universal to be honest, I don't care what permission they have or what land they have acquired, I won't believe anything till I see hardware being constructed.
Quite honestly I dont see why anyone would want to invest in this...
I haven't seen it on all 4 trains this season, and if I remember rightly on all my visits one train has been in the maintenance shed that backs onto Alice, and it's not always been the same train on each visit. Maybe they are working on the trains in turn to try help the issue. I have had no...
Here goes, in no particular order:
Hero, Flamingoland.
Seriously, what is this abortion? Its a farce from start to finish, rough and painful doesn't cut it, I honestly thought I was going to die, and I am not one who doesn't enjoy rides with character, infact the Grand National, Baco...
