Incredible example! I laughed my bottom off.
When I first read about this, I didn't think it's the parks fault, nor did I think that things like this 'just happen'. I was shocked however that this has happened again, and surprised that a ride type with this obvious issue is allowed to exist...
Re: Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin (?) Water Coaster
I'm pretty certain it's not a real splash, but I really hope they put an artificial splash effect in as it looks really odd at the moment, you kind of expect a splash of some sorts at the bottom of the drop.
I don't know about the MCBR
Re: Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin (?) Water Coaster
I see what you're saying about my comment sounding like I was comparing this with a Kiddie coaster. Sorry this was poorly worded. All I was getting at was it's like comparing two very different rides with each other. This is a water...
Re: Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin (?) Water Coaster
It's weird because you're comparing a water coaster with a hyper! It's like comparing a hyper to a kiddie coaster. I bet there are loads of coasters with similar pacing, a slow woodie will probably have a similar pacing as a B&M Hyper...
Re: Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin (?) Water Coaster
I kind of get what _Koppen is on about, but still it's a very weird comparison. I actually think this ride looks pretty fun, but aesthetically it's horrid.
Re: Alton Towers | SW7 | Unknown (Gestlauer?) World's 1st
I can't agree more, in terms of looks, it's by far the worst area of the park, an oblivion re-paint would be nice too (unless it's been re-painted in the last couple of years, I can't remember?)
Re: Fun Spot Orlando | White Lightning | GCI Wood
I'm sorry but when I hear the name 'White Lightning' all I can picture are tramps chugging back a 3ltr bottle of cider...
As for the coaster, looks awesome. Love the double ups/downs, a nice modern take on the classic out-and-back coaster.
What on earth do you think those bars are from? The only thing I can think of is that they're from the stairs on the lift hill, perhaps the poles on the fence / barrier thing to the left of the lift. This would make sense colour wise...I think.
But they look so thin and feeble, perhaps they...
Brilliant pictures, thanks for sharing. Looks epic. I think I'll really enjoy this ride, I've become a bit of an old man with high force coasters, and tend to prefer speed orientated and 'floaty' rides so I think I'll love this! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE coasters like Nemesis for their high...
I'm gonna have to say King Solomon's Mine at Pleasureland Southport, it made me swear and my sister cry.. but it's gone now..... GOOD. That thing was painful!
Currently in operation, I'll stick on the same theme and go for Wild Mouse at Blackpool, however I LOVE this ride and I didn't find it...
I think some of the comments have misread the title slightly, and are suggesting rides you'd like to see in existing UK parks not a NEW UK park...
So seeming as a new park usually means a big investment from say a company like universal, or the other big amusement park players, I think we can...
I'm quite surprised of some peoples lists I must admit. I'm pretty sure I saw someone list Rage above Dragon Khan! I haven't been on Rage, but really an off-the-shelf eurofighter better than the mighty Khan?!?!?!
Anyway... Here is my list.
1. Dragon Khan
2. Nemesis
3. Furius Baco (front...
Just reading back through the last couple of pages I can't really see where people are going 'ape ****' about this. Most of the positive comments are about how attractive the area looks and that the POV looks a decent speed compared to the first testing we saw which made it look horribly...
That POV looks awesome! Anyone heard anything from people who have ridden it yet?
EDIT: A guy on TPR says this: "Absolutely amazing! The hardest airtime is in the third camelback before the splash. I have "flown" for 2-3 seconds approx.
My fisrt hyper. Very very impressive."
But then it is...
