Re: Toverland | "Unknown" | Mack Spinner
Taken from Nadroj's link:
I'm assuming this is the site of the new coaster, but it looks huge, they could build the world's biggest spinning coaster on that plot and have plenty of room spare. Also the blue block on the right of the pic seems to be...
While I was stood in the queue for Colossus at TP last year one of the riders phones dropped out of their pockets on the first corkscrew and bounced off my friends head and onto my shoulder before hitting the floor. The phone still worked due to us breaking it's fall and I managed to get it back...
Holiday World have recently posted this link on their facebook page:

Maybe there's still life in the place yet. If they did manage to acquire the park, considering some of the rides have now been relocated and the park hasn't operated for a couple of years...
Just thought i'd share my completely unfounded and extremely premature excitement, but i'm almost certain that if they took out the little dragon coaster they could fit a mega-lite in that spot without extending into the car park (based on rough measuring from google earth.)
Talk about lining...
Don't worry, i'm not a fan of the team as such, in fact I barely bother with football at all, but at the time my brother played for them so I used to go to a few matches. I drove through Northampton the other month actually, we drove past Sixfields and saw the elevator testing tower I always...
Re: Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin (?) Water Coaster
This is really what I was getting at a couple of pages back with Pilgrims Plunge, I was under the impression then that the train was just going to travel up the second hill using momentum from the first drop. On PP the splash is...
^ To be fair I think the culture is different in most country's to here, we do seem to have a pretty bad rep when it comes to drinking regardless of age.
^LMAO, yeah it does go way OTT, I prefer the look of the meals he has at the start of the show to the challenges. I'm planning on visiting a couple of the restaurants in the states this year like Obryckis in Baltimore, I though it was best to leave out the 74oz steak challenge though!
Ben's...
My favourites are Jack Daniels (with coke) Peroni, Bud, Erdinger and Fruli.
I go through phases with Cider and rose/white wine. I don't drink that often though, i used to go through a fair bit of Jager and Sambuca but I don't bother with them anymore.
I think the only signed memorabilia I own is a Northampton Town FC shirt signed by all the team from a play-off final, according to wikipedia it was a "record 62,998 crowd. Over 40,000 of the crowd were Northampton supporters, which is still a record for the most supporters taken to Wembley by...
I've actually just suprised myself and voted USA. Mainly based on all the BBQ food and the cooked breakfasts, I just get really hungry watching Man vs Food.
I do really enjoy different types of food though, Mexican and Indian would probably make up my top three, I enjoy a bit of a spicy kick to...
I really want to vote Voyage now since it's epic and to give it half a chance since everyone else on the site seems to cream over Boulder Dash, but I haven't ridden BD yet and the airtime does look awesome from the POV so i'm reserving judgement until i've done both.
Having said that I can't...
^I'm sure I read on here recently that Toro's lift hill was slowed down when it gets to the top a little while after it opened. I wonder if the speed listed on RCDB is before or after that change?
I went to Europa for the first time in 2010, I actually preferred Silver Star to Blue Fire. BF's launch was a little tame IMO but I really enjoyed SS. I went with a group of 4 and at the end of the day after a couple of rides on each it was SS that we wanted to re-ride most (although that was in...
I'm not really bothered about inversions, my favourite coasters tend to be airtime machines with some good geforces in the valleys and banking. So it's pretty much Steel mega coasters vs Woodies for me.
I choose Wood, although they take more maintenance and can get rough over time I still think...
The helix looks like it might be another half the height again when its completed, it looks massive already but it's difficult to put into perspective from that shot (no completed hills in the same picture.)
It is a short layout but it looks good, especially the flatspin through the inclined loop which has never been done before. I'm impressed at how picturesque it all looks in the full layout shots. I reckon there will be enough packed into the ride to keep people happy, the near miss points and...
