    Dollywood |"Wild Eagle"| B&M Wing Coaster

WOW! I think that might be the best single piece of theming i've seen for a ride. Anyone know where they're going to put it?

    Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin Water Coaster

Re: Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin (?) Water Coaster If Intamin are building this thing I hope they've improved something in the design since pilgrims plunge. PP barely has a splash, certainly not the 30ft wall or water that was originally reported. Didn't they have to adjust the rails...

Alton Towers | The Smiler | Gerstlauer Infinity

Re: New "world's first" coaster at Alton Towers 2013 I'm not sure about that. Takashiba for example, it's essentially two layouts on the same track, one starting with the launch, the other with a vertical lift hill, depending on the dispatch timing there is definatly potential for two cars to...

    Corkscrew (Flamingoland) Sold

^I really do hope that turns out to be the case. If they do extend into the car park they could fit something larger than a 'Big Fun' too. *Dreams of GCI/GG coaster at FL* Maybe they'll remove the little 'Dragon Coaster' and build a new themed area.

    Submission and Enterprise to close?

I'm pretty certain they won't have to remove them to build SW7, you can see on the aerial elevation plans that SW7 only goes up to the right side of Oblivions tunnel exit. Unless they need the floorspace to store the track near to construction (not sure how AT have gone about this in the past)...

    Europa Park |"Wodan"| GCI Wood

I'm sure it will look better when it's finished, I too am looking forward to riding Blue Fire through the gaps. I much prefer the lateral bracing on GCI's to the blockier GG woodies.

    Port Aventura |"Shambhala"| B&M Hyper

^ I'm not assuming the pov will be exactly accurate with timing, but if you take notice it takes over a minute from start of pov to the splashdown, skipping the lift hill. Now watch Nitro, from top of lift it takes merely 50 seconds to reach the MCBR. I'd prefer if the brakes were late so the...

    Port Aventura |"Shambhala"| B&M Hyper

Thats probably because Intimadator has less camelbacks than most, I also thought it was one of the shorter models but not according to wikipedia. If this layout is accurate I hope that's the only thing it shares with Intimadator because that looks like the weakest of the bunch.

    Port Aventura |"Shambhala"| B&M Hyper

Nice to really see the colours of the two coasters together. It does seem a tad late for the MCBR compared to other hypers, it might be better timed if the MCBR was where the splasdown is on the video. Then again it would be cool to see a splashdown from Khans lift hill/drop. I also love the...

    Canada's Wonderland |"Leviathan"| B&M HyperGiga

^ Fair enough, I didn't think a splashdown would take much speed away, but if it would then I agree that it's the worst thing they could do. That being said doesn't rule out any timed fountain effect like that on Manta. It would be almost as effective without affecting performance at all, but...

    Canada's Wonderland |"Leviathan"| B&M HyperGiga

^^ Nobodys saying that the coaster isn't difficult to build or impressive from an engineering perspective, but that's not the reason that people ride coasters. Don't get me wrong, I love a 300ft drop and I can't blame any park for wanting to install one, but looking at CW's existing rides I...

    Canada's Wonderland |"Leviathan"| B&M HyperGiga

As Hyde244 said earlier a splashdown isn't designed to kill off speed. If krake can skim water at 65mph for around 30ft, i don't see why Leviathan couldn't touch down for a second. It wouldn't be dangerous because the spray would be angled away from the train, plus all you have to do is lower...

    Canada's Wonderland |"Leviathan"| B&M HyperGiga

^I'm sure you're right, but it will be another missed opportunity to add something new to the experience. You've been saying for months that the coaster is being built in the wrong park since they already have Behemoth, I'm not saying that adding effects makes it a better choice of ride, but I...

    Canada's Wonderland |"Leviathan"| B&M HyperGiga

^^ I'd say that depends on the size of the fin and how much time it spends in the water, which wouldn't be long in this case since the track pulls straight back up into the banked corner. It would just create a quick jet of water as it skims the surface. I'm doubtful about how much of...

    Canada's Wonderland |"Leviathan"| B&M HyperGiga

Very well put! Haha. I hadn't put too much thought into the location of any possible effects, I just mentioned the bottom of the first drop because it dips to around ground level. Krake is a working example of the splashdown straight off the first drop, I know its not as tall or fast but then...

    Canada's Wonderland |"Leviathan"| B&M HyperGiga

I don't think capacity will be much of an issue. If the lift hill is the same speed as Behemoth it might take about an extra 15 seconds to reach the top, probably less since the lift hill looks steeper on Leviathan. Plus I doubt it will take any longer to reach the blocks at the end of Leviathan...

Alton Towers | The Smiler | Gerstlauer Infinity

Re: New "world's first" coaster at Alton Towers 2013 ^^ Nope, I thought that aswell after watching it a few times. For the last week or so i've been hoping it would be a vertical launch, but after watching that video i'm with Furie and Lofty in thinking it's not going to happen. I hadn't...

    Favourite Theme Park Food

Famous daves BBQ at Cedar point was really nice but not technically in the park. Goblin Burgers at Holiday World were really good, massive burgers, I made the mistake of ordering a double, good job they have free Mountain Dew to wash it down. Bagels from Europa park (near Blue Fire) are devine...

    JOHN!

I agree with what everyone else has said about awful rides on Grand National recently, I didn't enjoy it at all this year, but the area around the back of Valhalla is a bit of an eyesore and unless they tore down the arena it would be a very awkward space. I'd love to see them re-design/build it...
