^ No I suppose intense isn't really the right word. But it does look more intense than the other wingriders I think. Compared to the speed that The Swarm and Wild Eagle look on video, this thing does look to be pretty nippy.
Excellent layout, although I think Swarm has a superior first drop...
^ LOL!
Themeing looks awesome. I like the fact that at the same time, Khan is effectively being themed and will give it a whole new experience. Impressive stuff! I'm also pleased that from inside the park, Khan doesn't look tiny in comparison, far from it actually.
EDIT: Just found this...
I'm finding it hard to picture the turn-around helix thing at the moment. Judging by the height of the supports in that last picture, it seems to be really low compared to the height of the drop. I'm probably picturing it wrong...
As for the ruining the view of DK thing, I think from in the...
Yeah I think it's rather poor. I'm finding it hard to believe this is the real deal, sounds more like a fan made thing to be honest.
I could do better :P
Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
I saw that there were lots of new posts for this topic and got excited that I might see some lovely pics, instead I broke my scroll wheel. Scroll wheels are really useful when browsing porn and ebay, so I'm quite pissed off!
Re: The Swarm - B&M 'Wing-Rider', Thorpe Park 2012
I really don't think it's as bad an idea as you're making out... If it was really faint on the floor as part of devastated city. It's the sort of thing I can imagine them doing as it's dirt cheap to paint some white lines on some tarmac...
Re: "Shambhala", B&M Hyper, Port Aventura 2012
Has anyone else ever got the bus from Salou to Tarragona? If so then you probably remember the road that runs behind PA and where you can get an excellent view of Dragon Khan from the back. Now imagine what this thing is going to look like from...
Re: Manta - Mack Launched Coaster for Sea World San Diego
^^ Because it has a different purpose than that of the Orlando Manta. This is obviously designed to be a family orientated coaster. I actually thought it looked like a neat little coaster. I bet the themeing interaction will be good.
Re: "Shambhala", B&M Hyper, Port Aventura 2012
Cool, I hope you're right and it is both! I was first very dubious about putting this thing next to Khan, I didn't want it to be overshadowed (literally) because DK is so beautiful just the way it is! But... I'm starting to love the thought of the...
Re: "Unknown", B&M Invert for Parc Asterix
Cheers for posting the video! Looks great IMO. The loop is taken at a nice pace, the inline is slower, but then it's a big inline (considering it comes quite late in the circuit), I think it will be nice and floaty. The best thing though, are the...
Re: "Shambhala", B&M Hyper, Port Aventura 2012
Hang on, they've painted dragon khan! Well at least I think so. Bright white supports now rather than the old sky blue, plus the red looks brighter. When did they do this?
Also where the footers are, will this pass under or over DK at the point...
Re: The Swarm - B&M 'Wing-Rider', Thorpe Park 2012
It's hardly lucky. Whenever I've been to a park with construction going on I've just wanted to ride the bloody thing, much rather there was no construction and it was open :P
The picture which has depth charge in front is impressive. The...
Re:
Yeah I agree. I live fairly near Stansted, and you can get some cheap flights to Reus off-season. Plus you can get some super cheap hotels in Salou (Hotel Euro-salou was pretty nice for the price). All in all works out cheaper than going to some of the more northern UK parks for us living...
Re: "Unknown", B&M Invert for Parc Asterix
From the NL video, the layout seems to flow really nicely. Flying out of the tunnel and into the odd shaped wingover should be awesome!
Re: [Rumour] 2012 B&M for Port Aventura
Towards the start of the topic, there were a lot of rumours coming from an insider at the park (I think) posting them on a Spanish fansite (Again that's from memory but I'll leave it to you to go and read). The initial rumour suggested a B&M around the...
Re: [Rumour] 2012 B&M for Port Aventura
^ A hyper and a stand-up? If you mean Dragon Khan, it's not a stand-up. And why wouldn't a hyper and a stand-up (or in this case a sit down multi-looper) look good together, they are both very different ride types. The only thing similar would be that the...
Re: Hair Raiser: New B&M Floorless - Ocean Park, Hong Kong
Yeah I agree with Ben. Also, 850m isn't all that short at all, it's longer than Nemesis and Nemesis inferno for example. 850m is 2788 feet which is quite average for a coaster of this scale.
I think the layout looks pretty sweet...
Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits
Sorry if this has already been posted... but here's another pretty odd Japanese coaster called 'Cycle Coaster'
