Re: Alton Towers | unknown | unknown kiddie coaster
John Wardley said at the TowersTimes event that Air will probably never get those effects, but I have heard that the new coaster might have a water effect.
Re: Alton Towers | unknown | unknown kiddie coaster
Well the development plan said that nothing will be over 25ft in that area so sonic will have to be moved or removed.
I know its a Zamperla I know people who are in the know, Ive been saying it since September as have they. I have no reason...
Re: Alton Towers | unknown | unknown kiddie coaster
Yep it is Octonauts, it's also a Zamperla.
Sonic wont be around much longer according to the LTDP so there is every chance Cbeebies could extend into there as well.
Re: New attraction for former Beastie site?
One of the site owners of TowersTimes has specifically mentioned Zamperla and I've also heard it off someone else who knows people at Towers and he mentioned them as well so I'd be surprised if it wasnt a Zamperla.
Re: New attraction for former Beastie site?
Yeah I can echo what was said earlier it's in the GDO so no planning permission is needed. Unfortunately I've heard from three people it's Zamperla so it looks like that might be the case :(
The maintenance costs were pretty high and they also needed parts from the Lion side to keep the Tiger side running, from memory I think it was something to do with the lift mechanism.
According to HTF on OU it will remain standing but not operating for a while as demolition costs are expensive. Due to the previously mentioned budget cuts the 2016 coaster won't be materialising but an Egyptian themed family attraction will. He provided no details what the ride/attraction will be.
According to a user on Towers Street the coaster is going to be called "The Formula" and will be 360ft tall. I cant find this anywhere on the web but just thought I'd pass it on :)
Re: Good "first upside down coasters?"
My first one was Rock n Rollercoaster at MGM studios, I thought it was a good one as I didn't really know when to expect it!
