Thorpe Park | Derren Brown's Ghost Train | VR Attraction

Re: Thorpe Park construction? From what Lewis mentioned had been trademarked and previous rumours of a Dr Who dark ride if you do a quick Google search there are a few links. Using the Dr Who Wikipedia there are a few interesting articles, the first is the "Clockwork Droid". This would fit in...

That would be due to the wood fungus which seems to have spread along the line of a potential coaster. ;)

    WTF Merlin?

Anyone know how the IPO worked in terms of who's shares were floated? From doing a quick company search you cant tell who owns what shares although there was a court in Feb 14 relating to the shares.

Transformers cost roughly £70 million to build so I doubt we'll see anything close to that!

    WTF Merlin?

Sorry to quote something from ages ago but wasn't the IPO 10% not 30%?

nadro - It did surprise me that was the suggested place for it as I reckon it would be a much better fit in the entertainment complex..... I suppose though that depends if that goes ahead though.

From the LTDP it looks as though they may put an entertainment complex there, but there would still be room for a coaster on the site as well. Again another rumour but I heard they may be looking to build a rollercoaster restaurant (similar to the one at Europa) but I've heard two potential...

No idea how true this is or not but I've heard GCI mentioned although I'd much rather have an RMC. Also jj23w, planning permission for a big ride usually goes in around the time the season ends so I wouldn't expect to see any plannning until October/November.

Nemesis: Sit BackWARDS? It's fright time.

Thats what I was saying if they were going to do it (which they wont ) it would be permanent not a temporary thing.

Nemesis: Sit BackWARDS? It's fright time.

Not sure it would be a temporary rotation if it happened (which I very much doubt it would) as Merlin wouldn't shell out the money to turn it round only to turn it back the other way after a year.

Nemesis: Sit BackWARDS? It's fright time.

Its pretty much the event TowersTimes ran last year with an extra talk from Andy Hine. In addition running it on a Thursday seems pretty odd as lots of people wont be able to make it due to school/work.

Alton Towers | Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure | kiddie

Re: Alton Towers | unknown | unknown kiddie coaster Just pretty much repeating what I'd already posted on the thread since I'd already said about Zamperla being the manufacturer (3rd Jan, page 1) and the screenshot of the staff article showing what the name of the coaster was going to be on...
