    Heide Park Colossos retracking (2019)

It's shaking my spine like an actual demon is trying to possess me but that might not be related.

    Heide Park Colossos retracking (2019)

Wicker Man without the theming wouldn't be a terrible roller coaster, but for sure a very weak GCI that everybody would shrug their shoulders about. It's the overall experience that turns it into a great ride. Colossos however is a fantastic rollercoaster, with a very simple Out&Back recipe...

    Weirdest/Strangest Rollercoasters

Rule of thumb: everything that has received an homage or can be perfectly resembled in Rollercoaster Tycoon is weird :P

    WTF Merlin?

Just for contrast, in Biddinghuizen (Walibi Holland) I can rent a shed with an actual kitchen, living- and bedroom for 70 bucks per night at the absolute most (I'd have to be intentionally looking for almost booked out days), usually well below 50, and I can have a direct view onto the...

What a sexy shade of red.

    Most polarising roller coasters

Silver Star. I don't know which year Europa Park had it's swing in opinion in regards to tuning down the trims but it used to get an absolute pasting by enthusiasts. It used to be the tallest B&M for 10 straight years and still stands as the 4th tallest to this day, and even though stats are not...

What was the first foreign roller coaster you ever rode?

Efteling's Bob when I was 4 years old. Then again, the Netherlands barely count as abroad if it was up to me :P

    Kings Island removes Firehawk

It's like a running gag in Germany to have 6 people capable to fix the problem on site, while the only one authorized to do so called in sick, so good foresight on their part.

Freizeitpark Plohn | Dynamite | Mack BigDipper

Gotta love how the market for small coasters has grown and improved over the years. Maybe one day all Vekoma Boomerangs will have been replaced with these, SkyRocket IIs and Raptors.

POVs that do not do justice to the ride - at all

All Mack Launchers appear much worse than they actually are in POVs. The only one that has good pacing in it's POV is Helix, but in return, its launches just look like straight track where nothing is happening.

What was your first coaster to feature airtime?

Gotta sign on that one. Goliath is a great rollercoaster and serves proof that height isn't everything. I wish European parks would get more Mega Lites instead of weird Gerstlauer spike coasters.

    WTF Merlin?

I might be exaggerating here, but especially with a chain like Merlin, that never charges gate prices and gives away season passes, wouldn't the park already earn more with a single sold coke, compared to the admission price? I don't get it how with an area as huge as Alton Towers, which opens...

    Heide Park Colossos retracking (2019)

They should have named it "Adversary" instead of "Nemesis Inferno". That would have been clever, and it would have avoided the whole "comparing it to Nemesis" issue.

    Parques Reunidos Opinions

See @Pokemaniac all of that adds up perfectly, but something bothers me. I think it's Movie Park. Movie Park started out differently because it was in a terrible state after Premier Parks was "done with it", and all that was left was the sleeping potential of the theme, the enormous draw area...

    Parques Reunidos has acquired Belantis

I mean, what is he supposed to say. If Parques Reunidos in itself is already at rock bottom, how do you describe being a Facebook representative for PR? Awareness is clearly not the issue here, PR wouldn't be able to do what they do "profitably" if poor management was the sole reason for what is...

    Canada's Wonderland | Yukon Striker | B&M Dive Coaster

All the "modern B&M looks weird" stuff aside, it's so nice to see that there are still manufacturers out there who take pride in visually appealing supporting.

    Parques Reunidos has acquired Belantis

Fair enough then. I still have an old kids magazine from 2004 recommending Belantis as a magnificent place and praises Fluch des Pharaoh as a fantastic water ride. Considering how it's right outside of Leipzig, this place should have massive visitor potential in theory, and Tripsdrill shows that...

    Parques Reunidos has acquired Belantis

I guess when a park has low enough self-esteem to buy an all-red Eurofighter, then even PR could lead to an improvement in overall decision making.

Rides That Were Ahead of Their Time

Maverick having been built in 2007 was way ahead of its time, considering how it still is a world-class coaster to this day and it took designers a couple more years to understand the true potential of launch coasters and how to utilize launches within layouts. Nemesis might not have been much...
